Top Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park Hotel Reviews

Bairnsdale Main Motel
8/10 Good
"Older style motel clean and good value."

Heyfield Motel & Apartments
6/10 Okay
"Thw room was spacious and clean however the condition of the room itself could be hugely improved so there aren't paint chips, stains, etc everywhere. The bathroom was also really old and dilapidated.
Parking was free and easy access inside the property which was great however the hotel should look into inatalling security doors so that only the motel guests can walk in inside the property and not anyone else to minimise chances of damage to guest's property including their cars. While the motel provided basic amenities, service could be greatly improved such as by ensuring proper essentials are available like hand soap dispenser, clean and stain free towels, concierge availability during most of the day. We found that if we needed anything, most of the time, the motel reception was unattended. However, location of the residence was great and it was great that it was open till late so we could come in and leave at any time from our room. "

Lakeside Motel Waterfront
10/10 Excellent
"Best location, next to a Lake. "

The Matador
10/10 Excellent
"Clean and close to town and the lake."

Quest Bairnsdale
10/10 Excellent
"Very modern and new. Comfortable bed, and good kitchen to make meals. Check in process easy and friendly staff. Only stayed one night but Bairnsdale seemed a very nice town, cafes and restaurants around.
Only disappointment was the lack of a coffee machine which we usually get in a Quest hotel. "

The Esplanade Resort and Spa
8/10 Good
"Hotel was a little bit tired, especially the swimming pool. Our apartment was comfortable and a good base for a couple of nights.
The staff in the Information Centre in Lakes Entrance were superb and booked us onto an Eco Cruise, which ran for 3 hours + and came complete with a scone and strawberry cream freshly baked on the ship.
There is an excellent restaurant along the esplanade called Sodafish and we had lunch one day and dinner the next.
My husband also managed to get a hair cut in a local salon. "

Anchorage Holiday Units
10/10 Excellent
"The parking was near to the house, very useful.
The kitchen had all the necessary utensils. "

The Moorings at Metung
10/10 Excellent
"Great place for a relaxing stay and close to the lovely pub for meals."

Mariners Cove at Paynesville Motel & Apartments
6/10 Okay
"Large room. Couldn’t use any kitchen items. All were very dirty and greasy. Strange layout that didn’t suit us as bedrooms were upstairs bathroom room and toilet was downstairs. Would not have pre booked that room had we known. Cannot fault location and even though it was across from marina and ferry it was quiet "
