"Very clean, staff super friendly and helpful. While we didn’t have an issue with parking, there are very few free hotel spots and the paid lot is very full all the time. It’s probably important to note that a rather large football tournament happened while we were there, so that may have impacted parking. Beds were good, pillows were decent. It was a bit warm with the windows closed and a bit loud with the windows open. Overall, I do recommend. Very convenient to everywhere we went. And Dunfermline is a jewel of a town!"
"Convenient location. Our room was clean and comfortable and on the ground floor which was appreciated. Parking onsite. The hotel had great food for dinner, we didn’t try the breakfast. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. There was no fridge in the room which would have been nice as we were travelling and had food with us."
"Conveniently located for the castle and the centre of town. Bar and restaurant area are excellent although having Reception at the bar seems a little quirky. Useful after having the other half drive you there though. Room was spacious and clean. Parking had to be paid to a third party but the hotel staff were very helpful getting it done. No A/C.
The lift only goes to the first floor so if you have mobility concerns, keep that in mind. We were on the second floor with heavy suitcases but the staff were more than happy to take them up and down the stairs for us."
"The building is stunning and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Couple of small points , were that the shower didnt drain very well to the point of almost overflowing and we couldnt open the bathroom window. The room next door , the door banged loudly everytime they used it and they left their dog in the room to bark and howl when they went for breakfast. Maybe thats our fault for not complaining , but i wont be going to a dog friendly hotel again if thats what is going to happen.
Beautiful old building in a lovely location, ideal for exploring the area with excellent staff who were very welcoming."
"I was hoping that they would connect our rooms since I booked them together for our family/kids, but they couldn't accommodate. The bar closed very early for a weekend, just my opinion. And the Kelpies was supposed to be a 15 minute walk as advertised by everyone, but nothing is mentioned about how unsafe it is to walk areas that have no sidewalk. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The lift was broken, that is why I rated it a four instead of 5, stairs were difficult with my heavy luggage is all."
