Nice place

We stayed here because Gloucester isn’t too far from Salem where we were visiting. 10 minutes in a cab from train station. Very quiet, helpful receptionist and decent mix of continental breakfast available in reception area. Nice base for 2 nights.

My friend and I fished the Yankee Clipper for 2 days and were up and out each morning before breakfast. We only encountered the room conditions, ice for our catch, convenience to the boat, and parking - all were excellent. We were looking for a great price and convenience and the Sea Lion met both!

There were absolutely no weird vibes or animosity — the staff was very friendly and welcoming! The continental breakfast had plenty of options, and the entire area was super quiet and peaceful. There are also lots of nearby places to eat, which was really convenient. The smoking patio was a nice touch, and the sheets and towels were very clean. I didn’t swim in the pool, but it had a lovely view. Overall, a calm and comfortable stay! About 25 minute drive from Salem FYI
