I very nice place to stay. I was working so I didn’t really have time to explore much. However it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay will great staff!

Its a beautiful property, we have been going for the last few years. Property seems to be in disrepair in the last couple of years. Front desk staff are responsive. Experience in jonathons loinge not great. Took a while to find bartender who finally got our drinks but never came back to see how we were doing

We loved the friendly staff, Heather at checking in to the great bartender in the lounge. Sadly we missed out on the live music as is was the weekend before and scheduled for the weekend after our visit. Our Saturday night supper in the restaurant located on site was AMAZING as well as the Sunday brunch. We also enjoyed our couples massage at the spa located at the Benmiller. Our room was in the original building and was on the rustic side. it was clean, the bed was comfortable but the room was a little small for our liking. This was a weekend away for my husband and I and we had exactly what we wanted from this trip. Peace and quite and relaxation. We spoke with Heather at guest services and now know which room to book for our liking. We had a great time and are looking forward to the next time we can visit.

Had a fabulous weekend at The Benmiller! Spa is top notch (both my husband and I had Indian Head Massages by Chrissy and I had a facial by Shannon), restaurant (we had dinner) was outstanding and our server Amy was wonderful! Wish we had one more day to utilize the hot tub, pool and sauna! We will be back!!

Nice setting. Friendly service. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. Pool was too cold and hot tub area could use some work. Overall, a bit dated but a nice experience.

It is unfortunate that Mother Nature played that nasty trick on us. We offer 2 gas fireplaces in our reception area to warm our guests up at times like these.

Our room was very spacious and extremely quiet. One suggestion would be to install grab bars and a bath mat in what is a very slippery bathtub.

Lovely location but the property is very tired and needs a big update! We were not impressed with the dining options - Sunday breakfast is ONLY the buffet for $32.95 pp… we don’t eat a lot at breakfast but they didn’t offer the choice to order off the menu. We ended up driving to Goderich for breakfast.

I went there for a weekend getaway with my daughter and enjoyed every minute of it. Benmiller is beautiful and the surroundings are breathtaking. View from the room was serene. Staff was very friendly and took all the efforts to find for us the last available DVD player. We will certainly visit again.

Such a hidden gem!!! Very peaceful! I came here alone for a weekend getaway and it was exactly what I needed. Polite and accommodating staff, amazing food, unique decor/historic vibe. Has all the amenities for self care (jacuzzi and fireplace in room and by the pool, pool, spa, waterfront views). I will definitely come back! Only feedback is that some areas in the rooms/hallways/and main guest registration building were a little dusty but nothing to steer me away.

Beautiful location, room was big and clean, except for “kitchenette” which had not been cleaned, no paper towels, coffee had not been replenished and only 1 spoon, rest of room was clean. Biggest problem was that room advertised on Expedia as having a “kitchenette”, which was actually just a bar sink. We chose this room and paid extra for this feature which was totally useless, not sure who is responsible for this but was very disappointing .

The location is beautiful and in central Huron. Was easy to visit Bayfield, Godrich, Blyth and many local micro breweries. Loved Cow Bell! The facility itself is very dated. Needs paint. Hot tub and showers could be hotter. Rogers service was non existent. That said, the room window gave a spectacular view of the Maitland river. Staff were very kind and thoughtful. If you want luxury, this is not your location. If,however, you are looking for a peaceful retreat in a beautiful location, away from hustle and bustle, this is a solid option. Beware, the dining room is not open Monday or Tuesday.

We found the staff vwry friendly and so accomodating. Our room seemed clean and the bed and pillows were good. We did find the Aesthetic maintenance of the buidings needed attention. . Seemed very out dated and worn. All in all we had a good stay

The room was a bit outdated, and the mattress sagged in the middle, but it was clean, very quiet and overall a pleasant experience. It was disappointing to discover the fireplace in our room was an electric one with fake flames. The meal at the Ivey Dining Room was excellent! The pool was a great feature and it was nice that it was open until 11pm. The hot tub wasn’t very hot but the sauna was nice. Overall we would stay again. There are lots of hiking trails nearby and it’s still close enough to a city if you need anything.

You should know that most restaurants are closed Monday & Tuesday not only at the Benmiller but in Golderich as well. It is a beautiful, quiet and safe location that’s great for a little getaway.

Cozy place to stay in the countryside
I really enjoyed my stay at Benmiller. The setting was amazing, the staff were helpful and friendly and the pool was great. I especially enjoyed eating breakfast in the dining room overlooking the stream. I will go back.
