Clean spacious cottage, luxury bathroom, convenient for pub and shops
Lovely stay in a beautifully kept Cottage arrival instructions were straight forward Cottage was clean and cosy stayed for one night bed was comfortable shower was very spacious could not fault this Cottage at all would definitely stay again 10/10
Came to visit the Brew York taproom and this was a great location (we climbed through the fence to get there). Ample parking and large comfy bed. Big walk in shower. Would stay again.
Late checkin via keysafe outside the cottage was super-helpful. We arrived at 23.30 and were able to let ourselves in without any hassle or needing to bother anyone.
Property we stayed in was lovely, 2 double beds, clean, very nice bathroom, tastefully decorated. Had everything we needed for a short stay, would definitely stay again if in the area.
Backs onto Coop supermarket car park, so very convenient for self-catering.
The property was very clean and well maintained.
Very close to Restaurants and even a micro brewery.
A short drive to Carlton Hall stately home where there is a lovely cafe (very reasonably priced)
Nice atmosphere (tranquility), next to co-op and friendly people. It’s easy commute to Doncaster town/Askern which took about 22mins
Staff very helpful, we are looking forward to staying there again soon
Its a beautiful room the only criticism is no tea or coffee that would make it perfect. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is amazing. Check in is super easy so you can arrive when you want.
We initially struggled to access the property (our own fault!), as Stapleton and Park Gate cottages whilst nearby, were hard to distinguish in the dark and rain. We rang the emergency contact who came promptly and helped us get in — thank you!
The cottage is cosy, nicely decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable. Bathrooms are clean, modern and well-equipped. With six of us, there was plenty of space and ample parking.
A few minor criticisms: the bedrooms, bathrooms, dining room and lounge are all in good condition, but the small kitchen, while clean, is very dated and missing basics such as oven/grill trays. The bedroom above the kitchen has a comfortable bed, but the frame is either very low or mattress is on floor and may not suit everyone; a bedside table would also be helpful. There was also some unsightly cable-management in the living room.
Finally, we didn’t need to use the front door as access is via the back; however, the area behind the front door is a little unkempt with some wall damage, but it doesn’t impact the stay and is likely already known to the owners.
The cottages are really lovely with big rooms and having an outside terrace is a real bonus. They are in a lovely spot with tap room and coop next door. I do think the images and description as 'cottage' is slightly misleading as only one of them is a house with kitchen facilities. The others are bedrooms with a fridge and kettle.
Large, clean nicely decorated room.
Advertised as self catering. Nothing in room to use to cater for yourself, no ordinary teabags just flavoured bags.
No matters/pillow protectors. Stain on mattress.
Thin sheet, shower soaks bathroom, door bar spikes stick through carpet.
Fabulous little cottage. Well decorated and clean. Had a change of accommodation made by the owners to the cottage we booked , but still lovely.
The only downside was that the sleeping accommodation faced onto the busy highstreet and was noisy all through the night.(no double glazing as its an old building.)So we were all tired the next day.
We had to ask staff at Carlton Towers tearooms for help with regard to checking in as we had not been sent any details prior to 3pm despite being told we would receive them after 11am. Staff in the tearooms were very helpful & sought out the manager for us. We eventually received the email after 7pm. Despite this hiccup, the cottage was lovely. The shower was particularly good and the seating area outside was lovely.
This was a good stay. The instructions of how to find the place were okay but could have been laid out a bit better by Hotels.com. (Come on guys, please give formatting a bit of consideration). That said, it wasn't a difficult place to find. I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation. The room was clean and tidy and furnished to a good standard. The TV worked and the walk in shower was lovely. Appreciated the bottle of water left too. So all in all a very nice experience. Many thanks Tim
We had a wonderful 4 night stay at these cottages. We had 2 cottages next to each other as we needed something suitable for our elderly parents with mobility issues for a family wedding, these were perfect. The front door opens onto the bedroom which is spacious, comfortable king size bed, small fridge, iron, black out roller blind, nicely decorated. Then we had a large walk-in shower which was great. Outside is a lovely individual patio area which is quite private for each cottage. We couldn’t fault anything at all. We didn’t hear any road noise that we had read about in other reviews. The Carlton Towers tea rooms are great for a breakfast bap or afternoon tea too in a beautiful setting, well worth a visit and you can even get a take-away breakfast bap to have in your cottage. Co-op is next door for any snacks. Would definitely recommend these little gems they have so much more to offer than your usual hotel room and a great price too.

A nice cottage, cosy and tidy. But the windows are single glazed so you can hear traffic. Other than that, I had a pleasant stay.
