We really enjoyed our stay and will stay again in the future. It was in the centre for food, drink and some areas of interest.

Great place to stay.
Amazing little guest house. Full use of the kitchen and breakfast area. Great price for my work stay. Will definitely be using again in the near future.

Comfortable bed, all the amenities one would expect. Continental self serve breakfast was very good, and the hostess was extremely friendly and helpful

Highly recommended
Cathy was very welcoming. Ground floor ideal room No7. The accommodation was clean cozy and the towels were soft and large. The bed was comfortable. Two kitchens were amazing, one to cook own food & one for the breakfast cereals toast juice etc. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Lovely staff and property. Plenty of parking spaces. Wish I would have been told you can cook and store food as we could have brought our favorite breakfasts and meals. Breakfasts here were nice enough however but eating out facilities were not so great.

Very Good
Very good stay and nice and clean. Bed a little lumpy - but I still slept well. Breakfast box was good and use of the additional amenities very good.

Very clean and well-appointed accommodation offering very good value for money. Self-service basic continental breakfast included. We plan to return.

A cosy guesthouse with a basic breakfast
This cosy guesthouse has just had a complete refurb, and all finished to a good standard. The location is very quiet which suited us perfectly. The house is kept very clean and Catherine was always on hand to make sure our stay was comfortable. Even when we couldn’t check out at the 10am slot she put us at ease and said not to worry as some places can’t wait to slap the surcharge on you. If there was anything negative I think the breakfast could have a bit more variety instead of the basic toast and cereals. Maybe some fresh fruit would be a nice addition but on the whole it was a very pleasant stay and definitely would go back for another visit.

Zimmer ist viel zu klein und alles ist vollgestellt mit unnötigen Möbel! Beim Einchecken wird von Frühstück gesprochen, aber es ist nur Butter und Konfitüre im Kühlschrank! Viel zu teuer für das was geboten wird!

Other guests were very noisy and dirty boots on the landings. Also they got up at 5am and also made a lot of noise.but room was very clean and tidy

The room was clean and comfortable. However there was no staff on duty when I arrived and I only saw one person, who I assume was the manager/owner, once briefly during the four days I was there. I also found the breakfast arrangements unclear. There was a notice in my room that said the kitchen could be used by guests to cook their own food. When I went down for breakfast on the first day I had some cereal but wasn't sure what else I could have or whether it belonged to one of the other guests. I didn't have breakfast on the other mornings.

Un bon séjour au cœur du Yorkshire
Un accueil parfait par Catherine qui s’est montrée une hôtesse très chaleureuse. La mise à disposition de tout le nécessaire pour les petits déjeuners dans une cuisine prolongée d’une salle en véranda donnant sur un jardin agréable est très appréciable. En outre, une deuxième cuisine commune où des étagères d’armoires ainsi que de parties de réfrigérateur sont réservées à chaque chambre afin de pouvoir conserver de la nourriture et préparer des repas pendant le séjour est mise à disposition. Le ménage est quotidien. L’hôtel est très propre, calme et bien chauffé. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir lors de nouveaux voyages dans la région.

Delivers on what is offered
Very friendly and comfortable, convenient for major roads but not at all noisy. Only drawback was the lack of traditional B&B cooked breakfast.

Great hotel for road trips
We are touring all over the UK visiting cities and castles along the way. The inn had a full kitchen and space in the fridge/freezer so that we could cook a meal using food we bought in the co-op in nearby town of Snaith. Great proximity to the castles covered by the English Heritage pass. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was self serve with all the standards. This is a great place for tourists on the move. Highly recommended.

All rooms equipped with cctv cameras spying at you & lots of notices/warnings attached to walls/panels telling you what to/or not to do ! Very poor breakfast,only cereal (3 kinds) and bread & butter, not even a slice of ham/cheese!!! One have to pay extra money for an egg !!!! For a much cheaper price we got so much more the day after in another guest house! At least we spent only 1 night here!

Clean, pleasant guest house run by lovely people.
The guest house is clean, tidy and comfortable and is run by very nice polite people. It is priced very low making it remarkable value. Complimentary breakfast is provided including yoghurts, toast, cereal etc. Only drawbacks are that the area is a bit out of the way of any good food outlets so a drive is required to eat well in the evening. But at this price its magnificent for the money. I will be booking again for definite.

Stress free weekend
Very nice guest house in ideal location. Staff were friendly room comfortable and facilities excellent. Next time we're in the area we will definitely be staying here. Also highly recommended the local pub Kings Head for an evening meal.

Lovely peaceful getaway
Lovely peaceful rural location with good transport links. Lovely room and facilities. Catering is simple but effective, and the rear garden is a lovely outside space to sit and chill

Good staging point to see York
Good if you are just looking for a basic room stay. Easy checkin/out with basic self-serve breakfast. Shower was pathetically small, not much could be done because of the building design though.
