I had a room with a view directly across at the Alhambra. I actually preferred my view to that of St Nicolas Square, without the hassle of the crowd. Host was very helpful and welcoming. Bus 34 stopped just 100 meters from the front door, easiest way into town center and back up the hill. Bus 32 stops 150 meters away and loops directly to Alhambra.

Lugar idílico. El hotel te transporta a la Granada de las mil y una noches. Unas vistas espectaculares a la Alhambra. De mis 6 visitas a Granada este sitio sin duda me ha dejado maravillada. Volveremos sin ninguna duda.

Small boutique inn with an amazing view
Small boutique inn up on the hill directly opposite of the Alhambra. We enjoyed the long walks up from the commercial center below (some sections were very narrow and barely passable by cars). The WIFI was so slow we could not even upload emails most days, let alone pull up a webpage, and this was the only negative aspect of our stay.

disappointed..hotel got great ratings, but..not a hotel, a room rental..great view, but very tight quarters..problems with a/c, lighting, noise, hard bed..steep climb up uneven alley with dog and horse crap strewed about..dog barking problem..relatively far from old town shopping/tourism..steep hills..tiring walking..the single staffer was very nice but helpless to solve problems..would certainly not stay here again..too bad

Pleasant little place
Superbly located for The Alhambra Palace and the winding local streets that are full of bars and restaurants. Owner was also very friendly and helpful. Wi-fi worked well. We had the downstairs room which was full of character, it had stairs up to the terrace (which was a pleasant place to pass time) but unfortunately had a mirror halfway up the stairs which allowed a view into our room from the terrace and as our room had no blinds/curtains we were unable to block it off. Overall, not quite sure how it is rated quite as highly as it is on TA but it is a pleasant place and we were happy enough with our stay.

Estancia y ubicación bonitas, atención agradable, pero no tiene todos los servicios anunciados (salón con TV común ...) y me cobraron de más por cama supletoria, aunque estaba incluida en el precio garantizado en la reserva para 3 personas (2 adultos y 1 niño de 13).

Best hotel in Grenada.
Absolutely LOVED this place. If B&Bs, staying amongst the locals, and having AMAZING service from Antonio and his staff are your thing, stay here!! Beautiful view of the Alhambra as well.

Interesting place--very pretty.
We were met on the street at the time we had arranged. The location was unique. We climbed up a steep street and stairs to find a beautiful room and terrace with a view of the Alhambra.

Bed & Breakfast com vista deslumbrante de Alhambra
O Solar Montes Claros é um Bed & Breakfast localizado no bairro de Sacromonte, vizinho ao famoso bairro do Albaycin, em Granada. O estabelecimento ocupa uma casa, no final de uma rua sem saída, cujo acesso exige a subida de ladeiras íngremes. A casa é bonita, bem cuidada e bem decorada, conta com uma pequena sala de estar na qual é servido o café da manhã e com um terraço florido. O meu quarto ficava no último andar e ocupava 2 planos. No plano superior, praticamente só cabia a cama de casal e no plano inferior ficavam uma pequena cozinha e o banheiro. Da janela do quarto e do pequeno terraço tivemos uma vista deslumbrante de Alhambra. O café da manhã custava 8 euros e era bem básico. O hotel não tem recepção 24 horas e é preciso combinar a hora da chegada por email. O hotel também oferece um serviço de táxi, que custava 15 euros a partir da estação de trem e esse taxista carregou as nossas malas até a porta, já que os carros não tem acesso à rua. As malas foram levadas ao quarto por Manfred, responsável tanto pelo nosso check in como pelo check out. O Solar Montes Claros é um lugar bonito e acolhedor, com o diferencial da vista do palácio, porém os espaços são pequenos, há muitas escadas internas e ladeiras íngremes no acesso da rua e por esse motivo, não é adequado para pessoas com alguma dificuldade de mobilidade.

5 star B&B with some problems
This place would be 5 stars all the way except for two issues: 1. At night, my room on the top floor had a strong smell of sewage; and 2. The house is up a steep walkway, and the rooms are then up a spiral stair case and up to two more flights of stairs. I should have packed a smaller bag. The gentleman working there was helpful, but with multiple people checking in, it was difficult to get the bags upstairs, and there was no one to help bring them down in the morning. Otherwise, the house is lovely, the rooms are beautifully decorated, and the view of the Alhambra can't be beat.

5 Star View, Everything Else Was 3-Star
This is a hard review for me to write after seeing 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor (we booked on Expedia). And, I don't want to come off as a snobby traveler - but I feel a need to share our experience. First, no question, if a view to see the Alhambra (especially at night) is important -- this is the place to be. But beyond that, this was little more than a 3-star European inn (and an expensive one at that). We have stayed in many four and five star properties (and I am not speaking of the Ritz-style hotels that cost hundreds per-night). Here is why I only give the hotel 3-stars. Our rooms were small. The air conditioning was weak (almost useless) and thank goodness there were no mosquitoes because we slept with the windows open. On two mornings there was no real hot water for the showers. The hotel charges 6E extra per-person for breakfast and it was suggested we go down to the small cafe down the street. We did see someone eating breakfast and frankly it looked meager (Though someone was squeezing fresh orange juice). Lots of little issues that are not serious ... but not worthy of a 5-star rating. For example, in typical style, you need to insert the plastic card into a slot to turn on the room lights. Only problem is the card is attached to the keys needed to lock your room door. We used cell phone lights at night to see the key hole. Our toilet was truly a closet and on a few days there was a smell (from the plumbing) that required us air out the room

Sehr sympathisches, gepflegtes BB mit arabischer Ambiance. Sehr nette, aufmerksame Führung. Feines Frühstück mit frischen Früchten. Super Blick auf die Alhambra und Generalife,Besichtiung ist sehr lohneswert!(für Tickets um 7:30Uhr anstehen,es gibt jeden Tag eine bestimmte freie Anzahl oder vorher per Internet res)! Tips für zwei authentische Flamencoaufführungen (los Jardinos des Sorajas) erhalten. Albacyn-maurisches Quartier sehr stimmig mit vielen kleine Läden/arab. Geschäfte. Granada als Universitätsstadt hat einen lebendigen Charakter. Und noch ein Tip, das Café Bernina hat Klasse, Superqualität!

This guesthouse exceeded all my expectations; the service, the room and the view are amazing. You get your exercise from the hills of Granada but the staff are terrific in helping with your bags. A+ experience

Sehr schönes und nettes Hotel/Pension! Überaus freundliches Personal. Auch ein direkter persönlicher Kontakt. Wurden herzlich Empfangen und direkt zum Zimmer begleitet. GepäckService die Treppe inklusive :) Perfektes Ambiente für Granada und die Alhambra. Sehr schöne Zimmer mit perfektem Ausblick über die Stadt und auf die Alhambra. Alles Sauber. Unser Zimmer hatte eine tolle Terrasse. Frühstück sehr angenehm. Zwar kein typischer Ausschnitt (Deutschland gewöhnt) Dafür Früchte / Joghurt / Küchlein ... typisch Spanisch! Die Bilder sprechen für sich. Lage ist auch sehr gut. Alles ist fußläufig erreichbar. Ein Bus fährt zur Not vor der Haustür. Empfehlen können wir die Granada CARD. Sehr Günstig. Vieles ist Dabei. BusTicket. und vorallem Alhambra Eintritt ohne Anstehen usw. die CARD ist direkt die Eintrittskarte! Uhrzeit für den Palast kann vorher Online selbst bestimmt werden. Perfekt!!

Endroit d'exception
Endroit très accueillant. Le service obtenu est excellent. L'hôtel est situé à distance de marche de tous les monuments historique. Un des meilleurs restaurant ainsi que le meilleur spectacle de flamenco sont situés à quelques minutes de marche. Endroit super.
