Is the Grand Canyon as long as You have a room and excellent service
Room was just ok. Our room (6486) was very small and had an odd smell. The mattress was not what would expect for $450 a night. Nonetheless, the location and ambience make this hotel iconic. If you plan a once in a lifetime trip to the Grand Canyon this is your place. Wish they would invest more in room quality. However, you are not staying there for the room.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The hotel sits on the edge of the grad Grand Canyon. Nothing can beat this. The food was very good. Staff were friendly. On the downside, the rooms and bathrooms are AWFUL. Stained carpet, beat up furniture, curtains … from the 1920s? The rooms a complete renovation and honestly if this hotel was anywhere else they wouldn’t be able to get away with charging $500/night - more like $50/night.
