Loved the hotel part ! Yet I wish there was an elevator and a cart to haul all of our stuff up to our room ( had to carry it ) enjoyed a nice fire , loved the complimentary smores
The staff is incredible, super warm, accommodating and also nice to chat with while you are getting checked in. The property itself is very well maintained, and the location is really great. Close to the lake and a great sunset view. Highly recommended!
Location was great and the front desk staff very attentive and nice. We really enjoyed the bonfire and s’more’s at night, live music and some games with kids. We’ll be back again.
Setting is great, nice views. Parking is full at peak times but there is enough once the dinner crowd leaves. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
Only coffee and tea is offered for free.
The restaurant has good burgers!
Nice pools

Nice but room interior outdated. Furniture and bed like a rock - they desperately need to replace the mattress. We travel a lot and never complain on the bed but this one was like sleeping on a boulder. Exterior of building recently painted and looks great.
The kids and I had a blast at the pool and hot tub on a rainy afternoon. The room and bathroom were nice. Everything was very clean. I noticed when we were checking out they had dvds and board games for checkout. Wish I would have noticed sooner! Keep in mind that the front desk isn't operational until 8 am, and the lobby is locked at that time. They didn't have anything on site for breakfast, so plan accordingly.

The room was clean and staff was friendly. Too bad the restaurant and bar were closed the two days we were there. Limited dining options in immediate area also so that was a big downside.
The hotel’s location is great, especially if you’re looking to explore the Lutsen area. The gondola ride is just a short walk away, which was very convenient. The property also has some nice amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, fire pits, backyard games, and an onsite restaurant.
A few things could be improved—the pool was quite cold, and the temperature could have been maintained better. The property is also a bit dated and could use some renovation and updating.
Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed our stay!
We stayed here on a trip to the North Shore. After a day of hiking and exploring, it was great to come back and relax or head down to the pool. We also enjoyed the Moguls restaurant right there on the property and enjoyed an evening around the fire pit with the delicious s'mores kit provided. We have older teenagers and all enjoyed this stay.
The room was clean and spacious. The amenities were nice and the staff was helpful. The outlets in the room did not all work and could not charge electronics. It is great that there were fire pits but they only provide would and nothing to get it started with. Overall it was a good experience.
This was our second time staying at Caribou Highlands Lodge, and it was just as good as the first. We were in 122A this time, and it was the perfect size for our family of 5. We enjoyed both pools and the hot tub. The best part is the location is pretty central to all the stops and towns we like to frequent. We can't recommend this place enough!
The breathtaking views, endless hiking, the calm of the North, the wood burning fireplace, the people...everything and everyone is better out of the cities and up North. Thank you!
