“Great place to stay, excellent clubhouse with great staff and food. The only downside was that the suite we had was very small, with no seating and no wear to put your suitcases, and only one TV in the main bedroom, which wasn't that great when sharing with others in our party.”

“Rooms were nice and clean but we had an annoying noise coming from an air vent inside a wardrobe that drove us wild, made them aware and they attempted a bodge to cover it up but it still persisted and spoiled our sleep. “Front Reception was excellent!
From that point on everything went down hill.
A very run down room with a dirty window looking over the car park. Threadbare carpet and frayed edges of the mattress hanging down. Dated decor and a less than pristine bathroom with a disgusting non slip mat! Really!

“Amazing location and amazing hotel. We loved our stay however it could do with some refurbishment.
It is a dog friendly place so maybe could do with a deep clean in the restaurant area. The food was good but all the dog hair everywhere was a bit unpleasant.
However we would still come back.”

“This is an older hotel in a gorgeous location right on Grasmere Lake. The interior has been modernized, which some traditionalists lament, but it is very comfortable. There is humorous, whimsical art throughout the facility. The large spa is a real plus. Breakfasts are ample and offer plenty of options. Large bathtubs in the rooms are very nice. Our shower stall often smelled musty, but this could be relieved by leaving the door open. A full length mirror in each room would be a good addition....
