“Second time staying, excellent base for hiking the fells and mountains, especially with the spa for afterwards. Staff are excellent and friendly, looking forward to our next stay.”

“An amazing location and room. Great breakfast and convenient to walkable and drivable Lake District attractions.”

“No SPA was available as was advertised.”

“Service is very good. We had some misunderstanding about dinner charging, but the manager, the gentleman, tackled this problem very kindly. Thank you so much. Dinner and breakfast are also delicious. I strongly recommend this hotel.”

“Regrettably our room number 6. Did not smell nice. It had the smell of old wet trainers. We did mention it and a room diffuser was turned on. Some of the fixtures and fitting were falling apart. The shower was head was not appropriate for the size of the shower causing flooding. The staff were lovely and theroom was clean.”

“Moss Grove is a fantastic B&B in the heart of Grasmere. The staff were wonderful—their “we’ll do everything we can for our guests” attitude really made our stay. The hot tub photos seen during booking however, gave us the wrong impression. It’s exclusively for the suite, with no access for other guests. “I was so happy to have sent our honeymoon from a fantastic hotel. The honeymoon room we stayed in was comfortable and the tub could bubble shower. Everything was perfect. All the staff were friendly and breakfast was very good. The evening in the restaurant next to the hotel was excellent and the staff was friendly. I will definitely go back to the first year of marriage next year. I hope you do not forget us.xx”

“Lovely home in the Lake District. The parking can be tricky during the day so arrive after five and there’s no issue. ”

“Great value for the money. Bunk Bed was too firm.”

“It was a great location. We did find the car park a little bit tight and tricky to get into (as the road was fairly busy when we arrived). The cottage was great and had all we were after and the downstairs bathroom was great for my elderly Mum. The two single beds mattresses were a bit past their best so the only thing I’d suggest to improve the property would be an update of those. Otherwise it was a great place to stay right on the river.”

“Really comfy, warm apartment with all the facilities needed. Perfect for the village, pubs and shops”

“Pros: Beautiful cottage, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds Cons: Living room can get very hot at the height of summer (main window has no shutters) Better go via Sykes or Lakelovers.”

“Home was lovely, the perfect area! Rooms very comfortable and very clean. Could have been more that one roll of loo roll in each toilet as there was 6 of us but other than that it was a perfect stay. ”
