Staff were over worked and doing multiple jobs as best as they could and as quickly as they good. Tending bar, taking orders, waiting on tables - just one person! They really struggled at breakfast with a coach party all coming down to eat at the same time and only two waitresses and one chef to handle everything. Breakfast was excellent, and if you are heading out for walks, they can provide a packed lunch if you order the day before.
There must have been at least 5 extremely wellbeahaved dogs at the hotel that were owned by guests, its a super dog friendly place. There are towels to dry off the dogs and also a sink outside undercover with warm water tap to clean the dogs if needed.โ
โHad a fabulous 5 days here. Staff were very attentive and professional at all times. Rooms clean and food, both breakfast and at dinner was extremely good. Only criticism was the wifi in the room we had which overlooked the lake was very very poor. โ

Not sure what the other rooms are size wise, but donโt choose a single room. The TV on the wall was bigger!โ

โRoom's were clean, good breakfast, ideal for walking .View's were stunning. Staff were friendly. Not many car parking space but the car park was about 2 mins away. Overall a good place to stayโ

We got our drinks at the bar and confirmed our stay and we had a lovely evening meal.
The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home.

โLovely room and great location for all things Keswickian. Friendly staff and good breakfast. We sampled the bar menu and this was also up to scratch, with reasonable prices and good beer to match.

โWe had a โnewโ room that was beautiful with a stunning bathroom. One thing could be betterโฆa full-length mirror for the ladies. Breakfast was top class and dinner was also superb though our server was a bit random and forgot a second glass of wine. But the manager recovered very well by delivering at no cost! Location is good especially for a stop-over close to the M6.โ
