"Amazing weekend.Bit awkward to find as we came in from kendal way ..Sat nav tookus throughmiles of one car wide road but its a paradise corner with stream and garden areas.. Some cottages residential but very friendly especially John..Also has smart TV and excellent wifi ..4 of us on anniversary weekend.Fully recommended.."

"Room was great with amazing views. Friendly and lovely staff.. Great location. Also, high compliments for the food we had there. We thought the main bedding could be better with a bit more blackout curtain/blinds as the ambient lights outside were on for a longer period at night - these are some feedback for the sake of it. "This hotel outside appearance is uninspiring, however inside the bar & restaurant it is welcoming with a roaring fire lovely on a very cold day.
Food is excellent, particularly the breakfast, with an interesting assortment.
Our room was a good size & thankfully near the car park as when you access the hotel through the back door it is a route march to find reception."
