“The room was clean and had usual amenities for tea, coffee and also some cookies. The manager was polite and to the point, though no warm repartee/ conversation.
The breakfast ( full English) was exceptional.
The room we had faced a fenced in green field site that looked as though it had been used to dump construction materials , plastic chairs and rubble.., The hotel has no control of that, and this was a minor distraction. We learned from local folks that the food here is very good, though...
“Extremely spacious, well equipped clean rooms except a couple of the window areas.
External stairwell had a lot of flying insects which was off putting (assume attracted inside from woods to the lights)”
“This is a nice stay for a short trip in Lancaster. The area has parking food, shops and restaurants. Easily accessible by metro and buses. The hotel itself has no amenities but the rooms are comfortable. There is a Witherspoon pub right downstairs can be a bit noisy but it’s a college town it should be expected.”
“Excellent location near Lancaster, just off M6. Lovely pub, lovely breakfast too. Plenty of parking.
Compact room, neat, tidy, good supplies. Comfortable bed. Tea & coffee makings & small kettle. Only issue was room was really hard to ventilate, so was very warm (good for winter tho!)”
“Good value accommodation, pleasant and comfortable in a good location. Bed was comfortable. Kitchenette was well equipped and it was relatively easy to gain access to the property. The proprietor was was helpful when I needed to contact them regarding confirmation.”
“Stayed in a superior triple room which has plenty of space/storage and a fantastic view across Morecambe bay. Some of the fittings were a little tired but everything functioned as it should and was cleaned to a good standard. The staff are friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain where everything was for the breakfast buffet. Breakfast consists of a small selection of cereals, yoghurt and English breakfast items, as well as tea/coffee, bread for toasting and individually wrapped...
“Lovely renovated sea view room, quiet. Great breakfast. Only downside was the lack of an elevator.
Staff were really helpful and allowed a late checkout, organised at breakfast with no problem.”
“Lovely old building, well located and enough parking at the back of hotel in side street. Comfortable bed, room was well maintained, especially the bathroom. Room was spacious enough for one person.”
“Stayed in suite 2. Communication prior to stay was good re parking and check in which was as advised. Only slight issue was getting info suite which had very stiff front door. Lovely apartment , very clean on arrival with complimentary beer , prosecco and soft drinks. Information provided in apartment advised it would be serviced following day. Jacuzzi worked once we got the hang of it.TV kept pixeling but got better. Comfortable bed and furnishings. Stayed Friday and Saturday night, got back...
“The location was perfect - at the north end of the bay with a lovely sea view - and was very clean with everything I needed in my room. I did feel very young - I'm 64! - but thankfully only used the hotel as a one night stay and didn't spend any time in it, other than to shower, change & sleep. So for me, it was exactly what I wanted.
I wouldn't use it to stay and spend time there though as there never seemed to be anyone on the reception or at the bar (which I only visited once) but someone...
“The reason we rate this Hotel so poorly is because our two night stay in mid July turned into a one night day because the room had no ventilation, no fresh air coming in by any way, except the window and the window was adjacent to the roof line where if we kept the window open, there was the possibility of a rodent coming in through the unscreened window and without the window being open, the room turned into an oven. The temperature was 80degrees or more. The management provided two fans, but...
“Convenient location. Easy parking. Continental breakfast was a bit basic, You get what you pay for and for the low price you can't expect the ritz. Would probably stay there again if I ever go to Morecambe again.”
