"The staff were friendly. The room was very clean and well appointed with a very comfortable king size mattress. Great shower! Able to park right outside our room."
"Room was clean and very comfortable. There was a play area and pool for kids. It would be much more fun in summer. The VCR and DVD players and the selection available was interesting and nostalgic. But VCR did not work in our room. It was a pleasant stay anyway. There was no microwave in the room. But we have to walk down to Rec hall to use microwave and toaster. Overall, a good place to spend the weekend."
"The hotel is older could use some major renovations. Breakfast is not much a breakfast. Second morning there no fruits left or yogourts or boiled eggs and tables were dirty. No one was there to clean up or to restock.
Staff wasn’t that pleasant to deal with either."
"I went to the Best Western Inn on the Bay for the Victoria Day weekend (Sun-Mon). Ot was such a great experience. The staff, reception (James and Yvonne) were very accommodating. We stayed on the 3rd floor which was a private floor and was only accessed by the cards for the rooms on the floor. The suite was large with a king bed and its own sitting room with a TV. The hallway leading to the bedroom, which had a door, had a mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom was also spacious. The view from the window was a partial view of the waterfront.
Thw second room was large with 2 queen beds a sitting room area, TV, and a large electric fireplace. Wow.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. I imagine the wonderful experience sitting on the patio, which has a view of the water, located with the restaurant attached to the hotel."
"This was a convenient location! Right by the water with a beautiful view. There was a good quality Farmer's Market on Saturday right nearby. Close acess to 1 of the trails. The Lions Head Trail was about a 30 minute walk away. We brought wood and use the firepit. One thing we didnt like was we couldn't lock the patio door. They did have a piece of trim to stop the door from opening more than 6". I guess for a small town its not a big deal??
It is a small town and feels very safe."
"Based on the price and other reviews, we were not expecting a high end hotel, but also based on reviews, I was expecting a little more than what I got. It was not as clean as I would have liked - sticky residue on my night stand and a shower curtain with brown stains. The only lamp in the room with no lampshade. It was fine for what we needed and the price was very low but I wouldn’t return. "
