This is a brand new hotel on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I stayed here for work and it was excellent. The free cocktail or coffee token was also a nice touch. The rooms and amenities were ample. Walking distance to almost everything in downtown Gulfport and the beach.

I love it super clean, beautiful spacious rooms and swimming pool have a gorgeous view, I dislike that there is no bathroom around the pool, and no snack store, could had been better with a snack store, also there is no Jacuzzi near the swimming pool. Over all the place is one of t h beat hotels I ever stayed in Louisiana, super clean and friendly staff

Very friendly staff from check-in/prearrival to check out. The room booked could use some TLC and a few amenities would really give it the wow factor I had anticipated. There were no towel hooks and the water pressure was pretty sad. There were a few hairs in the bathroom that were definitely not ours as well. Bed was very stiff/firm and it felt a bit cheap for the price you pay.

Everything was very clean and updated. The room was restocked with towels and trash taken out. The staff at the front desk and the cleaning employees were knowledgeable and helpful when needed. My grandson was thrilled when one of the security men joked with him. He was so impressed with the hotel he wants to stay at the Markham again if we visit the beach again.

The property was absolutely beautiful. Rooms were stunning staff amazing. Just a few things could have been better. Water pressure in the shower of room 410 was almost nonexistent. No convent bathroom for pool uses. Other that that highly recommended.

Great boutique hotel, we had the luxury queen room and it was huge!! Down fall that I feel like would help a lot would be more plugs or the lamps have plugs in them. Bigger trash cans with bags. Pillows that don’t deflate as soon as you lay on them. Also, we wish the tv had more than 48 channels. You couldn’t watch anything but that and our tv malfunctioned twice and there was only one staff member I felt like believed me even after showing the video only because it reset itself after turning on and off. Other then minor things it’s a beautiful hotel

There are not enough drawers in the room. We had to unplug the refrigerator at night due to the noise it made. At checkout, there was no staff available to assist with the luggage. Room size is great. View from the room was great. Staff knowledgeanle and friendly.

Property is for upper class, I booked through Expedia, good rate, for 1 night, Hotel clerk refused to give me receipt at checkout, also I booked pay direct to hotel, clerk argued about giving me receipt, said Expedia would have to send me receipt, I checked out on 5/22/2026, Today 2/23/2026 my Master card was charged Twice by Hotel. Called Mastercard company, they also agreed my card had been charged twice So people be aware, don’t leave Markham Hotel without receipt. New Hotel, Beautiful, but it’s Not for middle class people. I will never stay there again.

Hotel and rooms smelt lovely/refreshing, extremely clean… realizing that it has only been open 1 month, I’m sure a few kinks will be worked out. The first is the TV use and availability of streaming (It was not set up for Netflix, Prime, etc). Secondly, there really should be a microwave in the rooms. We went out to eat and could not bring leftovers back to reheat so I had to throw away 1/2 of a 30$ meal. Last thing to add is instructions on phone and TV use would be helpful. No complaints, just constructive input…
