We enjoyed our stay at the Swords Inn. We had no problems. The staff were friendly and helpful. The entire town including the hotel lost electric power the day of our departure, but had little impact on us, except there was no breakfast that morning.

Exceptionally clean, delicious meal, beautiful setting, beds very comfortable, friendly hospitality. Karen, got up early to make fresh coffee for me at 0600. Second time I've stayed there, will continue as many times as we are in the area.

This place is amazing with its cleanliness, presentation, dry sauna, hassle-free check in and out.
We spent couple of nights as a winter get away to snowmobile around. We did all day and then immersed into sauna and comfy bed. Well heated and maintained.
We love this place. Want to come back in summer to enjoy the rear lake for kayaking and fishing. Recommend to everyone for a silky experience.

The owner made checking in very easy and was very flexible about what time we arrived. The bathroom and kitchenette were well appointed; the bedroom was quaint and cosy. The house is only a block from Haliburton’s Main Street, within easy walking distance of many restaurants and stores as well as the library, the post office, and the public park on the lake. This is a great starting point for exploring the many beautiful aspects of the Haliburton Highlands.
