잘 관리된 가정집같은 편안한 분위가 좋았지만 필수경비라는 항목으로 추가 비용이 발생해서 결국 인근 고급 리조트 숙박비랑 비슷하게 지불했네요.

Decent little studio.
This is a good place for the price I paid. Well stocked with everything one would need in the kitchen and at the beach. The Murphy bed wasn’t real comfy, building seemed old. Location was an easy walk to waterfront, restaurants, bars, etc.

The murphy bed is very comfortable as it has a new memory foam 12 inch mattress and this is the unit we stay in when we are on the island. The guest was not familiar with a murphy bed so that is what made her uncomfortable, Not the Bed itself.

Not what I expected at all .. different looking than the pictures they showed us and dirty .. with bugs constantly .. loud portable AC.. broken appliances.. would not recomend to anyone ever !:/

Great Times
Great location for walking to Ali'i drive, close to markets for shopping. Our room had no outside windows that opened and the balcony was boarded up to make a bedroom. The heat from the refridgerator brought the temp up to the hi 80s in the room, took the ac about 3 hours to bring the temp down to 76..they asked all fans and AC be off when we left the room, not a good idea. We had to leave the front door open and just close the metal screen to have ventilation.

Not as described on the VRBO website
The condo was clean, but cluttered. The description says there is a Lanai with views but it is actually converted into a bedroom of sorts. The Lanai has been closed in with boards and nylon mesh, then covered with curtains that are nailed down. There wasn't any window that opened and there is not a view. There was also a cabinet door missing and a broken drawer handle. This is not what we were hoping for during our Hawaii vacation. The property manager was prompt in her replies but did not agree with our reasons for feeling uncomfortable in this condo. She also was not very polite in her replies back to us. I would not recommend this condo to others.

Close to Downtown Area, Easy To Walk To Room Was Small, Good Enough For 2 Of Us Didn't Receive Our Details For Checking In Till Dec 28, I checked in Dec 27th So that caused a little problem getting in and checking out. I argued with housecleaning, she was very unpleasant, saying the checkout is posted everywhere, so I asked her to show me and she couldn't, she just said she'll make sure it is posted! Very Rude!

Older condo near downtown
This is an older condo that was clean but shabby. We never did get the Wifi to work, despite the text instruction to re-boot the router. There was no personal contact with anyone about the condo--only emails and texts which were adequate but brusque, as were the instructions for condo care. I felt like we were invading someone's space rather than renting a hotel room.

There was Not One complaint while they were there. We can't address anything if we are not notified and they did not notify us because it was all made up and of course they did not contact us until they had not checked out on time and they Started with all kinds of nasty statements and threats. Some guests are not suited for condos and should stick with Hotels. This is a tropical island and there are bugs, they saw one bug and freaked out but didn't mention it until they left, of course. They stayed in the nicest totally remodeled condo. They came in with a bad attitude and left with the same attitude. Then they started threatening US all of kinds of threats.

Kona HI at Kona west
First of all I went from a botch up on my end wth thinking I was confirmed for 2weeks very affordable thru my vacation club BUT I wasn't so I had to go scrambling for a 2wk very expensive trip!!! Kona West properties is ok if u don't mind a very very small studio in ok shape. Best thing it had going for it was its location on a convenient road in back of the main Kona beach town rd! We vacated the property after one night bcuz of its size mainly! The fees they add on beyond the hotels.com price rate is absolutely rediculous !!!! The condo's management person Gayle was very accommodating! Many thanks!

最悪、時間を無駄にしました。
このコンドミニアムを予約する際、フロントもない、ただのアパートだと言う詳細が載っていませんでした。 16時がチェックインでしたがアーリーチェックインは料金が高かったので13時前には到着する予定だったので当たり前の用にフロントに荷物を預けて遊びに行こうと計画していました。 ところが着いてみると見た目はただのアパートでフロントがなく… 私達はどの部屋に泊まるのかもわからず、たまたまそのホテルの小さいプールにいた人に聞いた所、管理人からメールが来て部屋番号とその部屋の暗証番号をメールで聞いて暗証番号のボタンを押すと部屋に入れると言うことでした。 予約の際にそんな詳細の説明もなく 予約後に突然、英語の迷惑メールが沢山来るようになって迷惑メール報告削除していました。 その中に気になって、削除してなかったメールがあったのでそれを開いたら部屋番号だけわかりました。 でも英語が苦手なので内容がわからず、パスワードを教えてくださいと言う事だけメールしました。 そうしたら返事はもう、送ってあると言う。 わからなくなってしまった、もう一度送って…と言ってもメールを見直して…と言うような内容。 英語が沢山打たれていて他は内容がつかめない。 英語が話せない……と送ったら 日本語は話せないと返事がくる。 一言パスワードを送ってくれれば良いのに言えないどんな理由があるのか…送ってくれない。 英語がこれ以上わからないので日本にいる家族にライン電話をして、エクスペディアに電話してもらった。 エクスペディアから管理人に問い合わせてもらったら やはりメールで送ってるからと言うことだったが携帯のメールだった為なのか？開けないものがあるのか？どっちにしろそれらしきものはわかりませんでした。 結局、16:30過ぎに管理人から暗証番号の4桁だけが送られてきて、それと同時に日本にいる家族からエクスペディアから連絡が来たと暗証番号が送られてきました。 どうにか部屋に入ることができたが 大変なおもいをしました。 最初からこのホテルの詳細にフロントがなく、後日管理人からメールで部屋番号と暗証番号が送られてきますと載っていればこんな大変な事にはならなかったし、予約はしませんでした。 荷物をフロントに預けて遊びに行きたかったから…。 ハワイ島の貴重な時間を無駄にしたのと日本の家族もエクスペディアのやりとりで出かける予定が二時間以上遅れてしまったと言われました。 たまたま近くにスターバックスがあったのでそこのWi-Fiが使えて助かりました。 ホテルとスターバックス間を暑い中、スーツケースを押しながら歩いたのも大変でした。

THEY RECEIVED THE CHECK-IN INFO PRIOR TO THEIR ARRIVAL AND IT PLAINLY STATES IT IS A PRIVATELY OWNED CONDO AND THERE IS NO FRONT DESK, THEY JUST DID NOT BOTHER TO TAKE THE INFO WITH THEM AND THEN OF COURSE IT IS EVERYONES FAULT. WE TOLD THEM THERE IS NO EARLY CHECK-INS UNLESS PRE-ARRANGED BUT THEY THINK THAT WE OWE THEM EVERYTHING BECAUSE THEY DON'T BOTHER TO COME PREPARED WITH THE INFO THAT IS PROVIDED TO THEM. DO NOT RENT TO THEM AS THESE ARE THE TYPE OF GUESTS THAT NEED TO STICK WITH HOTELS AND THEN THEY CAN PAY AND HAVE TO EAT ALL MEALS OUT AS THESE UNITS COME WITH KITCHENS AND COOKING FACILITIES.

Musty Economy Suite.
I'll start with the positive in that this place was in a great location. We walked into a musty smelling place, and trying to open the screen door took a little coercion. After a long day of travel it was just frustrating. The owner was responsive to questions, but her responses turned rude when we explained that the room wasn't what was pictured on Travelocity. She exclaimed that it was our fault for booking it. Not professional at all. We weren't looking for anything but a bit of empathy. We stayed the two nights only because of the location, but that was it. The Murphy bed was behind the curtain, and furniture had to be rearranged to open it completely. The bathtub was backing up.

over priced
Not a hotel so no hotel services. Including having to wash your own towels via a coin operated wd before you leave, wich was not mentioned until I got there. Pool/hot tub under repair, so closed off and I was also not made aware until I got there. way over priced, especially with hidden fees that equals to almost a whole extra night with out getting one. One good thing was that the room was clean and it did have an ocean view.

They need to stay in Hotels as these units come with Kitchen facilities and they do not know how to appreciate the benefits of a condo versus a hotel.

Well stocked condo for beach goers.
The arrival instructions were clear, parking easy and all as presented. No elevator though! 3rd floor, just a FYI! Nice to have beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella and a small ice chest made for perfect beach outings. Great location as close to restaurants and grocery stores. Some nice books with information on local plants and fish. Kitchen had everything we needed It is a small space, but then who plans on being in your room much in Kailua/Kona?

I understand the need to protect private propert but..."Signs" on premises and in the inructions. There is a fine if you leave crumbs, fine if you don"t wash the towels (I think beach towels), oh, and laundry is a shared laundry, and "We don't supply the soap." But get towels washed by 10:30 checkout in a shared laundry. FIne if you get in early, or leave late. Even luggage in room at checkout time = FINE. Remember finish that laundry!. $250.00 fine if you feed the cats. Fine if "critters" (bugs) in the room when you leave, what if they were there when we got there? Fine if you do not do the dishes. Fine if you do not take your garbage out every day. Fine if you lock yourself out... "Do this don't do that can't you read the sign!" We were afraid to eat in the unit. We just bought our own towels and ate all our meals out. Thrilled when our week at the real resort condo began. Oh, and my fault for not looking closer at all of the pictures but found out our ubit had a Murphy bed when we got our check-in email. Nothing noted in the listing about that. They did give directions on how to open the Murphy bed that covered everything except that it sticks real bad on one corner. Oh my Lord, how much is the fine if I have to pull harder on the bed and it breaks!!!! Real thought as I opened the bed. Unit was very clean, great view, great location, chairs on deck very uncomfotable; tried to sit there once. Is there a fine if you complain about the FINE!!!?

Location was great, within walking distance.
Managed to stay 4 nights, but would not return. Sheets on bed were new and never washed, smelled of dye/packaging and we had to wash them before we could sleep. Dust layers on fans and other surfaces. We were warned to the out garbage and be very careful of leaving food or crumbs anywhere, however the kitchen drawers had crumbs. Washed the silverware and wiped out the drawer before use. Looked everywhere for an iron and never received a response from the contact as to where it was. It was a nonsmoking property, but we smelled smoke on the lanai frequently.

Close to downtown, clean updated unit
Nothing special about this place, but it was super clean, very cute and right downtown. Pretty cramped space tho, couch blocking entrance to lanai made it almost non desireable to go out there. Murphy bed was comfortable but in the way. This is a unit in a condo building with owners living there. Cigarette smokers out on lanais bring smell into room. The building itself is a little dumpy and dissapointing when you arrive, but it is a great location and a nice unit making it worth the price for Kona.

Great location in Kailua
Condo location changed by provider from Kona West to Kona Islander Inn. Great location for Kona Ironman World Championships, 50m from beach, 100m from Ironman Village, 500m from race host hotel and on Alii Drive in historic Kailua. Obviously, self catering, with no support unless called upon. Stores close enough to get by without a car. All essentials provided, average quality, but functional.

The room has turtle-themed decor, fans and air conditioning, and some dishes/cutlery/cooking equipment. There is a view of the ocean. It has a small pool on the ground floor.

It does not state to wash the beach towels as it is a coin operated laundry facility. IT HAS A FULL KITCHEN with Induction Cooktop, FULL SIZE FRIDGE, Full Size Microwave. ALL of the dishes and accessories you could ever want. The unit was Gutted and Fully Remodeled and there is Not another one like it.

I was given a different condominium due to an overbooking, I do not have any idea how the Kona West looks like. The condominium that I was given was not handicap accessible as I was told and it had an estrange smell of old dirty wet rags.
