The pub opened in 1875 and stayed in the same family for nearly 90 years. Itโ€™s covered in hand-written messages, which is a tradition going back decades when the workers at the nearby mines would give their wages to the hotel and then keep track of how much theyโ€™d spent on the walls of the bar. The interior is adorned with memorabilia and thereโ€™s a small museum too. Definitely worth a look.
