Situated on a mountainside that feels remote despite being minutes from a highway, this lodge offers villas that feel secluded and "away from it all," along with ocean views. Just stayed one night. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Accommodations were comfortable, clean and well maintained. Lovely to sit on the patio and look out at the fairway.

After a month in NZ, this was probably the nicest place we’ve stayed. It felt like we were visiting a friend’s home, instead of staying in a hotel. Sitting room cozy, kitchen modern, fully equipped and clean. Hosts very friendly. Close to town which wasn’t too touristy.

Very comfortable stay. The beds were comfy. The location was very close to a lot of things. I didnt try the breakfast, but the food at ember was good. The staff were very helpful.

Our stay in March was just so lovely. The staff was extremely helpful. The location is ideal... not even a 2min walk to the beach, a breakfast spot next door, and three restaurants at varying price points on the same block. We couldn't have asked for anything better

Excellent hotel in kind of an Art Deco style in a nice area of Auckland. Not a far walk from the wharf and ferry building. It has a bar on premise with a free drink on arrival. The included continental breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, toasted muesli, Greek yogurt, bread basket and fresh OJ and coffee. Delightful. Excellent location. Staff extremely helpful, courteous, and went out of their way to help us find public transport suitable to our needs. The room was spacious and quite. There is a lot of construction around the hotel, which complicates traffic. Tons of restaurants within wañking distance. Would stay again.

I was unwell, (I have MS),when we arrived and the staff got our room cleaned and ready by 11am as our flight from Christchuch got in at 9am. We ate breakfast, were allowed to use the gym, shower and store our luggage. Staff was amazing and fetched coffee for us as soon as we got down for breakfast the next day. The food was exceptional and our friends came for dinner the last night and it was perfect. My son-in law is vegan and we are vegetarian and the kitchen went out of their way to change...

A great staff! a good gym and a spa tub that was nice and hot! the daily breakfasts were very good the room was kept clean every day and an easy walk to shops and restaurants if i return to Auckland i will definitely stay here again!
