Good Morning Nicki I am sorry you have grasped the wrong facts. For clarification the duty Manager who came to clean the bathroom was not the General Manager. Two separate members of staff dealt with your phone call At the time of your stay we were only accepting Work related bookings and there was no confirmation of this on your booking form so I believe this was asked for. Your money was refunded to you because you were so upset over this matter. I again apologise for this. The beds are zip and link beds, comprising one base and 2 mattresses, we have now looked into, this was not mentioned at the time. Again our sincere apologies.

Dear Victor In reply to your review I would like to point out the following:- Due to the Covid 19 which we are still in!! We are running on reduced staffing. The Bar & Restaurant are closed on a Monday and Tuesday and we are unable to serve breakfast at present. The emergency numbers on the door are all current numbers. In fact I live on site so would have been able to deal with any problems you had if you had contacted any three of the numbers on the door. Reception is manned on a Monday and Tuesday until 12 Noon. I have checked the water today after you spoke to me this morning stating you had hot water in the bath and the sink, however not the shower, this is because you had the switch on the control panel switched off. Regarding the WIFI both myself and and housekeeper were both able to access the internet and other guests in the hotel also. The rate you paid was a discounted rate due to the facilities are not fully open. Regards Gail Luxon

Good Afternoon Stuart Firstly I apologise for the absence of the soap. After inspecting all of the Hotel bedrooms we have addressed this and a new bottle has been replaced in the one room where the soap was missing from. Regarding the breakfast not being available this is purely due to the shortage of staff. I am sure you will be aware that the bar and restaurant has been closed for 3 months and business will take a little while to establish itself again. Unfortunately we only have a small team of staff to manage the business 7 days a week from 7am to 12pm at present. In addition we are unable to offer a buffet breakfast either, due to Government restrictions.. Hopefully the business will rebuild soon and we will be able to offer all services in the very near future. Our opening times on a Sunday are from 8am. However we are trying to encourage contactless check in and check outs. Keys can be left in the room, alternatively in the letter box outside of reception, where keys can be collected from also.
