Every quite & nice hotel that I believe is located at the highest point in Hilo. Had great scenery from the front porch along with a nice small botanical garden to sit & relax at.
Great location but property was run down after it was remodeled. Service was poor. Would not recommend

Disliked: Cleanliness, room comfort
A poor shabby room. Beware of it.
A tiny shabby room with old equipment. Entirely uncomfortable. It is hard to understand how the owners dare to offer such a poor room for 2 persons. The price is relatively cheap but the accomodation is not worth even this cheap price
Older home, top of a hill overlooking downtown Hilo. Ours was 1 of 4 bedrooms, with its own bath. The room was clean except the bedspread, which looked as if someone had laid down on it without taking off shoes. Parking was OK: 2 spots in the drive, 2 additional spots on the roadside a very short walk away. Our biggest frustration was perhaps due to this being our first rental of this type. We could not get hold of the manager to learn how to get in. It turned out that we had to get to the door and then make a call. It all worked, out, but we could have used some further instruction ahead of time. It ended up meeting our needs well enough.

The rainpipe was dripping the whole night- no sleep possible.
Do not sleep in room 02 - unless it is repaired, or dry weather!
Great location, easy access for walking to town. Too bad windows are a bit dirty because view is great. Kitchen accessories could be better and would help keep the place cleaner. Sound travels well so a bit noisy.
Liked Jade's dad, didn't like no response to my mesages before arrival

Liked: Cleanliness
The room had a lovely view of Hilo. It was a rather small room which was ok for us because we only spent one night there but the bed was not very comfortable.
No air conditioning and filthy window fans. No electrical outlets in the small bathroom. Very poor parking options. Poor communication between owner and guest . We left after one horrible, sweaty night in a ridiculously small room. Do not under any circumstances book this facility.
We enjoyed the quiet, yet elegant style of home. It reminded us of how one can be part of community and environment. The pond was a place to contemplate, while absorbing the atmosphere. A hidden piece of paradise! Nice view of Hilo Bay.
El edificio está al final de una calle que acaba en la cima de una colina, por lo que la ubicación es muy tranquila y contaba con buenas vistas. La habitación era cómoda, con buena cama, nevera, cafetera...

Disliked: Amenities
Wild pigs in yard on a daily basis and and wonderful white cat whom was extremely friendly.
The room was nice, the view was great, the bed was pretty comfortable. I had just hurt my knee so I wasn't thrilled with all the stairs, but that's not their fault. The Jacuzzi tub is what made my day, especially after my fall. My only complaints were that there were ants in the kitchen, and the manager never got back to me about the kamaaina discount.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
Sheets were not changed, but bed was made. Rooms were small and outdated. I did like that I didn't see staff, but info was written out.
Great location and views. Room #2 has no cross breeze without the door open. Needs a small window AC unit, ceiling fan or a transom above the door. Room gets hot and stuffy. Pealing paint and veneers all over the property. Need a good thorough dusting/cleaning. Bathroom needs light switches and a GFCI outlet for a razor or hair dryer. Pull chain light switches on a wet bath floor make me nervous and hard to find in the dark. Wild pigs are rooting up the nice landscaping. Tropical environments are hard on properties without constant upkeep. This property needs some basic maintenance.
The house is clean and the room has a private bathroom. It is kind of small and in an old house so you can definitely hear noises if neighbors are loud or if someone is walking around. The house is located pretty high up and the view from the room is pretty great. If you are okay with feeling like you are staying in somebody’s house it is a great place.
Property was hard to find at night; 14 rough-cut stone steps outside up to first floor were poorly lit & dangerous for seniors; room had no air conditioning or ceiling fan - floor fan was inadequate & room was hot; floors and bed creaked; room was very small; bed only had 2 very thin pillows; bathroom had a large curtainless picture window; house had a dank, musty odor; bed was not comfortable - slept very little. Was so dissatisfied with house & room that we left after the first night, forfeiting the prepaid rent for the remaining 5 days. The motel we moved to seemed like a luxury compared to the hilltop legacy. We do not recommend this property (room) to seniors.
We were disappointed with quality of the place. First there was inadequate parking two spots for five units. Checking was a hassle no staff and lack of text communication. The bed was uneven and oblt one pillow each. The TV did not work right. Our towels werw not change. You should not do business with these guys in rhe future
