"The hotel is very mid. In our 2 weeks trip in Japan it was actually the worst. Here is why: - It is located right next to the train station which can be convenient if you are travelling. This is why we booked it. However the area around the station does not have much to do. You can walk ~40min to the center or take a bus - we ended up doing this every day so in the end it would have been the same to just stay in the city center. - We did not book breakfast as from reviews it seemed very basic (menu with a few set options). We stayed in other, same tier hotels, in Japan with great breakfast so not having it was unfortunate. (We knew this in advance - I am just flagging). - The basic room is quite small - the smallest we stayed in. The room had marks on the wall and the cleaning was not perfect with some hairs here and there. Not big issues but again not what we were used to in other Japanese hotels. - The price was high for the quality offered. In sum the hotel felt very work travel oriented. If you’re looking for a convenient stay next to the station, mainly to sleep 1 or 2 nights, it perfectly fits the purpose. If you’re a tourist looking for a nicer experience I do not recommend booking it. You can find cheaper, more central, alternatives. Now having been in Hiroshima I also do not think it’s an issue to stay in a less convenient location travel wise - let’s stay 20min walk from the station; Hiroshima is a slower pace city and there’s time for everything."

"Pros: - Excellent location for transit and things to do - Excellent view of Hiroshima Castle and Hiroshima as a whole with mountains in the background Cons: - Slightly more expensive than other hotels in the area. - Drying functionality on laundry does not work properly. Makes clothes smell horrible. Other comments: - Rooms weren't exactly the same from one to the other, so personal experiences may differ slightly."

"Very close to station. Very clean But room very small. They sell for 4 but it’s just 2 twin beds and no space extra They told me in the message area but as I paid with gift card I could not cancel and book the bigger one. We squeezed 4 people but was very tidy. I would recommend the room for max 3 people "

"Had a great stay in Mitsui. The staff were professional and the room was clean and comfortable bed. Location is great too as it’s close to many shops and restaurants. The top floor had the most beautiful view especially in the evening."

"We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Our room was clean, bright with a large window and a wonderful "downtown" view. There were 3 of us and the room had 3 beds, which made things admittedly a little tight. Though quite typical of Japanese hotels I believe and in no way a negative. The location was perfect with a street car stop a stone's throw away, the Peace dome a short walk along the river and the main shops not much further. Each of us were given a (small) free drink ticket for each night. Which made for a pleasant and lively evening vibe in the reception area. Which was by the way on the top floor, with a wonderful roof top garden too. The TL;DR version is I would absolutely stay here again."
