"First and last time I ever come to this hotel horrible customer services at reception nobody was helpful manager didn’t do anything just brush me off I was supposed to get some type of upgrade either a room or premium bracelet since I’m a platinum vip member this hotel doesn’t provide any vip access or upgrade I got 70 dollar voucher in which I couldn’t use for anything useful I request a a certain room location with pool view didn’t get that I also asked if the room could get some type of decoration for a birthday occasion nothing was done mean while I look down the hall and some other room had a happy banner totally unacceptable customer service I was beyond mad oh let’s not forget my fridge wasn’t working on the first day had to wait over 4 hrs to get another fridge put in the room also the room safe malfunction had to get somebody else to come and fix it food was horrible especially in the buffet everyday is the same food and they bother you with the timeshare pitch they stalk and wait for you at the entrance of the buffet no fun pool activities drinks were really cheap and not good beach is small and full with sargassum one of the worst hotel experience I ever had never doing a ocean or h10 property again !!!"

"Staff wasn’t helpful with anything. To explain few scenarios 1. They lied about the room upon checkin. Upon requesting they said they are happy to give us ocean view room but when we went to the room it was in a corner far away location and it was standard view nothing as per the receptionist. 2. They didn’t help with anything around in the property. Just said check with expedia since you didnt book with us directly which is so unfair if the money goes to hotel and not to expedia. 3. Our cab that was booked with Expedia was stopped at checkpost and not allowed to enter. They said we will not help and we had to walk to checkpost with our luggage in a hot day. Very unfair and unwelcoming. 4. Food was below par and just for future vegetarian guests. Dont waste your money at this resort or else you will end up eating rice and salad most of days."

Barceló Bávaro Palace - All Inclusive

"I stayed at Barceló Bávaro Palace for 5 nights, and unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. One of the biggest issues was the water in the room. Every time we turned on the water in bath there was a terrible odor coming from it. The smell was extremely unpleasant, almost like something dead, and it made the room feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. The food was also very disappointing. Most meals were cold, repetitive, and lacked quality. Another major issue was the Wi-Fi. There was practically no reliable internet service anywhere on the property. The Wi-Fi barely worked during our stay, and I even had to purchase international phone passes just to try to stay connected, which still did not work adequately. This created a huge inconvenience throughout the trip. The experience that upset me the most happened at the snack bar restaurant called El Caribe. After leaving the pool area, my partner & I went there to grab food. We were not dripping wet — we had already been drying off for over 30 minutes and were only slightly humid from being outside. An employee named Ana DeJesus approached us and told us we were not allowed inside because we were “wet.” The issue was not only what she said, but the way she said it. Her tone and attitude made me feel extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. She eventually told us, “Fine, just go, but don’t let nobody see you.” I found this comment completely inappropriate and unprofessional. We ended up not entering. NO GOOD!"

"Got food poisoning on the second day! Pool is poorly maintained and beaches are nothing but seaweed! If you book on Travelocity or other sites you are identified by a red bracelet and annoyed beyond belief to join travel club! Will never go back and definitely recommend you go to another island all together!"
