“Parking very close and difficult to get in and out if you have a bigger vehicle. Some parking scare under a stair case and could be dangerous when removing luggage from vehicle. Should enquire about vehicle size and allocate room and parking to accomodate.”

“Staff were friendly. Room was clean and spacious except the bathroom, which was like being on the Cook Strait ferry. Small and combined with toilet. When showering the whole room got wet including the toilet. View of Harbour was nice in the morning with this in the trees outside. Good wifi for online meetings. Towels weren't very absorbent, but there were enough. Felt like a retirement village because that is what it has been in past.”

“First hostel I’ve stayed in. You guys have set the bar high. Everything from the beds to the amenities were better than some of the hotels and I have stayed at. Thank you so much for taking care of us.”

“No wall oven or extractor fan in kitchen which limited cooking options/made it a bit difficult to cook - advertised as full kitchen so was expecting this but also should have looked at photo. Some road noise at night as right next to road. Very warm and cosy.”

Untidy property; unhelpful manager; staff behaving badly (called police when my autistic son was unwell instead of just checking in on us); mould on shower curtain; radiator heating not working. And the ONLY place to take a $100 bond from me on my entire 8 night trip. Super slow process to get my cash back Highly NOT recommended Stay away! It’s cheap for a reason. Yuk.”

“The Bucket Tree Lodge was quiet and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The bed was very comfortable. There was a bit of a problem with the shower in that it didn't have enough fall and so the floor had to be protected by towels, but the owners were working on having the shower replaced so it won't be an ongoing problem :)”

“Only problem was fire alarm going off randomly at 6 in the morning otherwise was lovely”
