Great property, location, staff, upkeep, room etc. This is a pricey choice but in my opinion we got our money's worth. All rooms are good size and very updated and have balconies. Staff was attentive, water was provided daily as well as some small goodies. The beach is very small but other beaches are close. The location is spot on Waikiki, an easy walk to the main street and all its amenities, tour busses, restaurants etc.

Halekulani is truly a five star property. The staff are great. The service is top-notch. The food was excellent. Also like the location on the water but away from the hustle and bustle of the main shopping district. It is a very well run property. Almost everybody on the staff was great. I think this hotel is very overrated and not worth the price. I came from The Four Seasons in Ko Olina and expected a very different vibe. Personally, I would highly recommend staying at the Royal Hawaiian instead as it’s extremely charming and much less expensive. For me, this hotel was all looks and no substance. With that said, there was nothing wrong with it. Just wasn’t for me.

The room, the staff, the pool, the food, the location was all fantastic. What was not fantastic was the gym (a converted very small conference room with only 2 of 3 treadmills functional) and the overnight parking charge ($70).
