Hoofddorp was great - easy access to the Airport and buses to city. Despite the constant rain on & off, we had a fantastic time and will definitely like to return.

Not much to do in this area. Very industrial. Our main purpose was to have a hotel near the airport and this was perfect.

The nearby restaurants and shopping really made the difference, because from the hotel, the view is industrial. The fun parts and life happenings are 30 minutes away in the city center.

You'll need an Uber or a bike for food outside the hotel restaurant or McDonalds, but, there are lots of options in a short 5 mile ride away. There is an easy bike path nearby.

I recommend the adding a sliding path or and an elevators by the train station as using the stairs while carrying luggage is very difficult.

"The Grand Hotel Amrâth is an incredible historic hotel. It is very centrally located near Central train station. My room on the 3rd floor had high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the canal. Absolutely gorgeous! They have many original museum pieces from when they were a shipping house in the early 1900’s. I truly enjoyed my stay. I would say my only complaint would be that they did not have a ramp to bring luggage up the front stairs. The bellman does help if he is waiting in front but if not, pretty challenging. Have some great videos of my room but unfortunately won’t upload on the site "
