“The room was huge, and the king-size bed was incredibly comfortable. those were the only positives of our stay.
The property is outdated and desperately needs renovation. The walls were scratched, the baseboards were deteriorating, and there was a terrible smell throughout the hallways. Cleanliness was a serious concern. The property appeared poorly maintained and inadequately cleaned. There was visible evidence suggesting a mice infestation, particularly in the entrance hallway near the...

“The main issue with the property was that the basement room smelled SO strongly of mildew and the stairs to get down there felt so steep and unsafe that one couple in our group ended up booking a hotel to accommodate themselves. This was truly more like a converted crawl space than a bedroom. In addition, the sofa bed in the living room was very uncomfortable, even for a sofa bed. The host did not have any location recommendations as she shared she has not lived in the area for 10 years, and...

“The Wavertree Hotel is a great place to stay. The hotel is owned by a lovely family, who are welcoming, hospitible, and friendly. This is an ideal place to stay if you are travelling solo. The neighbourhood of Streatham is lovely, safe, and very accessible to public transportation, including the train. There are some wonderful shops, restaurants, and bars in the neighbourhood, as well as several grocery stores. The Wavertree Hotel has a full kitchen, so you can make some great meals and save...

“The parking is NOT a real amenity of the hotel - it is self-serve street parking that requires you to move your vehicle every 4 hours during the day or to park a 5 minute walk away in a more residential area.
The location was easy access to the train station and local shops and restaurants. The room was clean and the bed was comfy.”
