Embassy Suites by Hilton at Hot Springs Convention Center
8/10 Good
"I liked the hotel it was very convenient to the convention center which is what we needed. I was not happy that the Skyway Bridge was closed because that was one of the main reasons we chose to stay there was the easy access. Overall the room was clean, I found some things that I wasn't too particularly happy with like loose hairs in the bathroom and the room was extremely hot. We had the air turned down all the way to 60 trying to get it cool off, and I don't think it ever did. The breakfast was really good, any breakfast buffet in a hotel that has bacon on it is a win in my book lol. But they also had an omelet bar so you could have a fresh made omelette too. It was quiet the room was incredibly spacious, there wasn't a huge amount of parking around the hotel which was kind of frustrating, but there was a huge parking lot across the street but it wasn't it always easy to get across the street because of the amount of traffic that comes in front of the convention center the front desk Supervisor was extremely nice to us when we checked in. When we checked out in the morning the two girls at the front desk weren't overly friendly, they weren't exactly rude but they weren't very friendly. It was my first time staying in that hotel so I didn't know that you just dropped your keys in a basket, so I stood in line to check out and when I handed them my key card and I said I was checking out they just stared at me and didn't say anything and pushed the basket towards me"
"Positives: Air Conditioner Worked, Downtown
Negatives: The room was not very clean. I killed a wolf spider in the bath tub before I gave my son a bath. The refrigerator did not work. I wanted non smoking for my baby and I, and the bathroom smelled like smoke. There was a big gap in-between the door and the frame making it easy for someone to break in if they wanted too. The electricity is wired horribly. There is extension cords running behind furniture, and the outlets to plug devices into are literally all the way up the wall, almost to the ceiling. Major safety hazard.
I didn't try the breakfast. After judging the cleanliness of the room, I didn't want to try the food.
Would I stay here again? No, I'd pay a little more next time and put my son and I in something more clean and safe."
