I had to scrub the tub myself and was told that it was black because the building was 30 years old. The hot tub jets really didn't work and it seemed to have mold around it. It just doesn't have that same cozy feeling that it used to.

Was a good place to stay! I was upset that hotels.com listed a room that was unavailable all together!! Was unhappy with that!!!! But the Super 8 was great staying there!!

Less than average hotel
The front desk clerk who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. The bathroom floor had several hairs on the corners by the tub. It appeared the bedroom area was clean. The TV was fairly small as compared to other hotels we have stayed in. The pool and hot tub area was very outdated. There were sheets of plastic over all of the windows in the pool area. I assume that was done to keep the heat from escaping. It appeared, there was at one time, a steam room. It had been closed up along with a bathroom that was also in the pool area. The location was fine for our needs since it is within the city. The Continental breakfast was average at best. I don't believe this was a hotel stay worth $143.64

The staff is very hospitable and the hotel is conveniently located on snowmobile trails heading in all directions.

Will stay again
Hotel was easy to book. Check in was smooth and pleasant. Room was clean an everything worked. Check out was easy. Breakfast was as good as you could expect for that format. Will stay again.

Trip was a quick turnaround to visit a relative. The room was clean, location was excellent. Hot breakfast was better than some. Only complaint was our mattress.

Labor Day stay

I liked the breakfast - beds and room were clean and comfortable. Pool and hot tub area definitely need updating. Rim around hot tub looked like it was developing mold. Pool and hot tub were very old, paint peeling and whole pool room was in bad need of repair and updating.

Not worth the price.
When I first arrived the front desk woman was on a personal call and then proceeded to answer the phone and help the person on the phone instead of the customer in front of her. The hotel is outdated and dirty and our room smelled of urine, not sure if it was human or pet urine, as they do except pets in the hotel. We did not complain as we were only staying for the one night and leaving at 5 o’clock in the morning. But definitely was not worth the price that we paid.

I'm sorry you were not satisfied with your room. We do check the rooms before guests check in and did not detect any smell. If you had told us, we would have been happy to switch your room to one that would have been appealing to you.

We had a nice stay. It is by no means a soundproof hotel, so as long as you don’t have bar crowd rolling in at 2AM like we did one night, it’s ok! Also, pillows are old and hard, and the thin velvet blanket was less than comfortable. If you bring your own, you’ll be fine! Lastly, the pool sides (above water) were covered in mold, but the pool was otherwise warm and fun for our boys. The hot tub is large, so that was nice. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, and the hot breakfast was pretty good.

Comfortable and convenient
This was our third or fourth stay here over a number of years. Overall, the staff is friendly and the hotel's condition is fine. Our bathroom coming in was not well cleaned and the short-staffed cleaning staff did the minimum during our stay. The breakfasts were fine per Super 8's usual standard - eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and waffles, fruit, yogurt, breads, juice, milk and coffee. The pool and hot tub worked well. The beds were comfortable, the A/C worked fine, and the water was very hot. We would stay there again. The location in Eagle River made it convenient for us. Gas, fast food, Eagle River Roasters are nearby.

only thing i did not like is when i rented the room the pics on expedia led me to believe that there was a whirlpool in the room . there was not. after running a marathon it would have felt nice and in reality i did not get the deal i paid for

I am sorry you didn't get a room with a whirlpool. Unfortunately, we do track the pictures on Expedia. If I recall, you wanted a room with 2 queen beds and a whirlpool. Super 8 has no rooms with these specifications. Again we're sorry we couldn't accomodate your specific choices. We hope the Marathon went well.

Our room was directly in from front desk. Lobby was extremely noisy thru the night. When registering, asking for a different room and was told no. Rooms were not all taken. Parking lot not full.
