Rooms are large and the facilities are clean and the grounds well maintained. Reception and service staff were friendly. The property is dated, and some things like the stove, did not work, and on several days there was no hot water.

Beachcombers has totally exceeded my expectations. From check in to check out the service has been exceptional. I appreciate the front desk staff for being accommodating. The food was impeccable. The views were unmatched and the live entertainment really added to the ambience. I would definitely return. Amazing stay

My wife and I stayed just 1 night at this property as we were passing through from Bequia island to Argyle airport. We were really happy with the large, well-appointed and air-conditioned room (upgraded oceanview w/balcony) as well as the service from the staff. The setup they have with the dining hall and pool area overlooking the ocean is really nice. The best part of Villa beach is literally just steps from the pool area and offers nice swimming as well as (un-affiliated) friendly locals providing loungers, drinks and food at reasonable prices. The food and drinks in the dining hall/restaurant were also very good and reasonably priced. I do want to point out that my rating is relative to what I believe are reasonable expectations for the area. It's no Ritz-Carlton, but I did get a look at (the outside of) some of the other hotels on Villa Beach that I was considering and based on the state of the grounds and facilities I could see, I'm convinced I made the right choice. This will be my hotel of choice if (and hopefully when!) I'm back in St. Vincent.

We loved the hotel and the service was excellent but the restaurant on site didn't give good value for the money. The meals were nothing like the photos on the Expedia page. They were very basic. Salads had few ingredients and were undressed. They also seemed to have trouble with availability of produce. The beach is lovely and just a few steps from the pool patio. Beautiful view and lovely sunsets. Unfortunately, this area isn't very "user friendly" for tourism. It's a bit hard (and expensive) to go and do things. But it's wonderful if you just want to relax and stay at the resort.

Stayed here before a couple years ago and loved it. Returned and was very disappointed. Bed linen was changed 8 days after arrival. Bathroom smelled of urine from a dirty shower curtain. Cable TV went down on Sunday, left on Wednesday and still no service. Much to be desired from a business traveler who is not planning to return to the hotel.

My New Favorite St Vincent Hotel
This was a great value for the price. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially answering questions about local attractions, hikes, taxis, ferries, car rentals, etc. Room walls are very thin; sound carries very well, so be aware of that. Our room view was spectacular, with a good view of the water and of Young Island just offshore. The hotel restaurant is well worth visiting, both for food and drink. Service is a bit slow, so don’t be in a hurry. It’s covered, but open on at least 2 sides. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and close by the pool and the beach. This is no fault of the hotel, but the way the town is laid out, with no sidewalks on the roads, we found ourselves driving our rental car to all restaurants and attractions. Walking did not look like a good or safe option. I highly recommend the Beachcomber Hotel. It would be my go-to choice for any return visit.

A day (or more) on Bequia Island needs to be on your bucket list if your trip is any longer than 3 days. It’s a relaxing hour from Kingstown by ferry. Hotel staff can assist you to make the arrangements.

Great affordable getaway.
Staff is amazing and so friendly, and the property is pristine. Beds are comfy and the air conditioning works great (at least in Room 7 where I was). Pool and beach are both within a 1 minute walk. Entertainment at the pool/restaurant area on the weekends is really nice. Wifi works great at the pool and even reaches as far as the beach, but can be a little spotty in the rooms. Very easy to grab a bus/taxi on the main road. The restaurant/bar IS quite pricey but there are a few less expensive options down the beach. (I am vegan and there wasn't a huge amount of affordable vegan options, sadly.) There aren't fridges in the rooms (at least not in mine) which was a bit of a drag for me, as I planned on doing a grocery shop to buy myself vegan options. One small thing to be mindful of - maybe it was the time of year, but there were crickets or birds that were constantly chirping/humming around the property in the evenings. I never saw them, but I heard them constantly. Some may find this relaxing/comforting, some may find it annoying. Taxi to and from the airport costs around 60-70 XCD per way, which is not bad at all - however if you are adventurous enough, you CAN take the bus for 2.50 XCD, you'd just have to walk to the road. But in terms of value for the price - this is one of the absolute best. It checks all the boxes you NEED. Cleanliness, safety, and location. The other things are minor details. Would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone.

Best hotel on the island
Beautiful, charming hotel. Professional and friendly staff. Gorgeous grounds. Lovely restaurant on site. Lovely small pool, limited shade. Large rooms, most with big balconies or patios. Good value. Only downside we found were hard beds, but not a deal breaker. Nice to be on beach, but beach is small and domewhat dirty. Felt very safe at hotel. Great views. Highly recommend.

Best on the beach
The vibe of the hotel exceeded our expectations. Although there were a few children there, the place is very romantic and adult. We really enjoyed listening to the poolside music with the waves coming in on the swim beach. The rum punch was the best of all the ones we sampled in the Grenadines.

Your restaurant staff persons were absolutely terrible. Apparently they assume that every black person that shows up there is a local. That is indicative of a greater issue. I sat there and watched the way that the Brits were attended to and clearly I was not treated the same. My money is the same as theirs . . . . FIX THIS TERRIBLE ISSUE RIGHT AWAY !

When we arrived we had to wait a short while for our room to be ready. We stayed here because they said they had babysitting and arranged for a babysitter to come whom we were extremely happy with. Also arranged a taxi to come for pickup upon check for us- super accommodating. Rooms are cleaned every day. Breakfast is the same everyday so if you’re staying long might want to try some other restaurants along the beach strip. Our shower was not producing hot water and they upgraded our room. I would recommend if you have children 5yrs and younger to get the 2 double beds. The washrooms are large and spacious. Rooms modern and nice. Both US & European plugs. Staff was incredible! Pool was wonderful also beach is right there so worth it! We took the van around because taxis can add up- just know they must think they’re NASCAR drivers and seem intent of terrifying their passengers with their driving. ProTip Look for an older Van driver - Seriously. Beaches all over are amazing and the water is turquoise and stunning. The restaurant staff was so lovely and accommodating and we ordered breakfast the night before so it’s be ready first thing for our little early risers. Would DEFINITLEY stay again.
