The hotel is quiet clean and the owner operators are amazing. We travelled with our 6year old and 1 year old and these people made our holiday an awesome experience Nothing was to much trouble we where made feel really welcome. We will definitely return again.

\ First off i would like to thank the Manaager Tinnaphat Kaew Reo and his Family they will help you iif they can with any of your needs. Great valve it was the cheapest 3 night stay during our trip Koh Samui and Phuket. Would be a great for family with children. Well looked after Resort.

There is nothing positive I can say about the rooms we stayed, however, the kindness of the staff most especially the owner was overwhelming.

The owner and staff are very genuine and customer service was excellent. Very humble and the service was efficient and quickly. Good listening power and understanding of a customer needs. We felt like a home from away home. Kitchen and bathroom was totally spotless. I would recommend to everyone.

I liked the A/C and the free transportation but what I didn’t like was the pool being so small and it looking way bigger on the photos. The location was really far from Patong beach.

Guing (property manager) went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay - nothing was too much trouble. She even cooked us vegetarian fried rice for us! Free trip into town available every evening and it's easy to grab a cheap taxi back. Close to markets, restaurants and things to do. Rooms were clean and it was lovely and quiet. We stay with two kids and the quadruple room was perfect for us as there is also a separate living area. Very good value for money!

The owners of this hotel are absolutely lovely and will do anything they can to make your stay a good one. The hotel is a long steep walk away from the main area of Patong So it is a nice quiet place to stay. For most of the two weeks we were there, we had the pool to ourselves for a lot of the time, even though we were told the hotel was full. You can get a free lift into town or to the local restaurant (which is recommended!). The negatives of the hotel are that Expedia incorrectly states that here is a restaurant - it does not. This is a major problem. You either need to hire a car (not much parking in town I was told by another guest) or a bike/scooter or get a taxi back every time you go for something to eat. This cost us 300 bhat, so if you go in for two meals a day, it will cost you £15 a day. This was a big slice of our budget and had I known this I would not have booked this hotel. In fairness, I should say that we did get a few meals cooked for us, but this is not the same as having a restaurant on site. The second issue we had was with the WiFi. We were in room 402 and most of the time we just could not get access to the internet for more than a few seconds at a time. It was mostly unusable in our room which was a pain. It did work fine in the reception and around the pool, so was not a major issue for us.

We had a lovely stay here. We started in the older section of the resort and the room was OK. However, shortly after arrival we were upgraded to the newer area and it was very nice. The bed was king sized and comfortable and the kitchen included cutlery, dishes, sharp knives, a microwave, sink, dish soap, large fridge and laundry drying rack and coat hangars. We did not ask for an upgrade. It was offered to us as a kind gesture. The rooms and grounds are very clean. Tin and Goeng (spelling?) were always looking for ways to help make our stay better. This is in the mountain, a couple of kilometres from town. Walking to town is easy but it is a heavy climb back. There is a shuttle but it only takes you down to town. You have to find your own way back up. On the other hand, it is worth it to me to have all the peace and tranquility and there are other transportation options. We rented a scooter from the hotel. It cost 200 bhat for 24 hours or more of you prefer a larger bike. There are a few restaurants within a kilometre or so. They haven stunning views and sunsets. We chose to walk. Out hosts always offered us a ride and they said the restaurants would bring us back if we wished.

Sehr schönes Hotel am Berg gelegen.Die Besitzer und die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.,Die komfortablen Appartements sind sehr sauber und man hat einen schönen Blick auf die grünen Berge.Wenn man das ruhige Hotel verlässt ist man schnell in der Stadt oder am Strand.(Motorroller oder Service). We absolutely loved visiting this resort. It’s a bit further from the beach and city center but transportation is easy to come by and cheap. We liked how quite it was in the evening. Super clean facilities. And the staff was wonderful. We would recommend and stay again.

Fantastic stay
It was a very good experience to stay at Rai Rum Yen Resort. We were welcomed from the first moment. Manager, family and the staff was fantastic, you feel like home. Very quiet surroundings, outside town and a bit uphill - count on extra tuk-tuk fee when going back in the evenings. Very spacious rooms, some with balcony - nice views.. Nice pool, small but very clean. I give my best recommendations for this family-run hotel.

Friendly hotel good sized rooms balconies out town
Very enjoyable stay, family owned and run and that shows. My mattress was too hard and I was supplied with a comfy additional mattress on top and that was fine. Air conditioning leaked but that was sorted straight away. Spacious room with balcony andMountain View’s but north facing. Other rooms with balconies had west aspect. No good if you can’t deal with steps as it is built up on side of hill. Also costs 200 baht to get into and back out from town, too far to walk and steep hill. Decent pool 9M x 8M. A few sun beds, smoking allowed there, also a sheltered sun bed area. Good value snack meals available in spacious and sociable reception/bar. Separate kitchen with microwave and fridge and toaster. Could have done with a bigger shower head than 2 inches diameter. Patong Beach area is OK to deal with, not as manic as other Phuket beach areas, slightly more relaxed, but sea is very dirty, I did swim in it but only as has to cool off. Lots of boats of all descriptions causing the pollution plus other things I think.

We stayed here 2 times (start point for Malaysia). Among three Phuket hotels visited in March 2017 this one is the best. Excellent value for money. Nice fish pond. Good air-conditioning. Mini-kitchen.

Nice hotel but hard to get
Hotel is good, very nice and clean. Staff is also very helpful and nice. Hotel is located up to the hill about 2km from patong, that bad! Tuk tuk drivers refuses to take you there or ask lots of money. So in the evening you have to pay patong and back same amount of money than the hotelnight costs.

Great place to stay family owned and managed. They took care of us like we were family, food was great, all theame ities were there. It was away from the noisy downtown core but close enough of you want to go shopping or the beach it wasnt too expensice of a tuk tuk ride but the owner offered us a rode down to town everyday. Highly reccomend this hotel
