Kindly be informed that the booking policy of Expedia allows the customer to choose the payment method, please see the General Terms and Conditions for bookings through Expedia; 3.2.7 PAY NOW ONLINE OR PAY LATER AT HOTEL As your reservation was proceeded four hours prior arrival and confirmation of your reservation was in Chinese language, the reception wanted to make sure with our reservation department the method of payment. In order to you very late arrival the team of the reception did not want to make you wait and tried to finalize the payment with you the next day during your check out. Our reservation department by this time confirmed that the accommodation will be paid directly at the reception by the guest. We feel deeply sorry for all the confusion this case obviously created. And we want to underline that we regret that this incident left you frustrated and unsatisfied about your overall experience at our property. But please rest assured that as international policy of the Steigenberger Hotel Group and the policy of the Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel no stay will be charged twice.
