It was on the sea front with great views over the Coral Sea with pleasant places to eat and have a drink or two nearby.

About average for the cost, good bed, air con worked well and kitchen had what you needed, the down side was the smell coming from the drains and the water pressure.

Was a great stay, you wont be disappointed. Close to everything, just a walk or scooter ride away. Parking was included and ample. We got what we paid for. Mini golf and table tennis were a nice suprise!

Managers Sharon & Craig are the most inviting, kind and lovely people you will meet. Their hospitality is second to none! We will absolutely return to Bargara based on them!! They also sponsor & support local sports and look out for those doing it tough. All round exceptional people and we feel honoured to have met and stayed with them at The Point Resort.

Room was very nice. Check in was very poor. Reception not open was not sent a check in code, used after hours phone was told I had no booking, read out my email confirmation was told they didn’t know. Lucky a person then came to my aid. Spa was not hot, was advertised as hot outdoor spa. Only a few channels on tv. The unit was very nice and spacious though

No king bed as described in property description and only 1 out of 4 single beds was a king single. There was also mould on curtains in the 3rd bedroom. Location however was great!

Stayed three nights in one-bedroom apartment in September 2023. Room was comfortable and well equipped but the carpet was old and musty. Access from basement carpark was ok with trolleys provided. Location across road from ocean was lovely. Pool on site nice too.

The apartment had a washing machine and dryer as well as a spa bath and shower. All kitchen amenities together with 2 tvs so well set up for a short or long stay.

The view from the balcony of the coast was perfect, the location is an easy walk to shops, dining and beaches. Clean and modern and an excellent stay, although the beds were very hard, could use a mattress topper for comfort.

Bargara surprise
Our first visit to Bargara was a great experience. Stayed at The Point and we were very happy with the accomodation. Great ocean views, very comfortable apartment and great location. An easy walk to shops and eateries and right on the esplanade to make it easy to enjoy a morning walk to explore the coastline. Will be back.

The pool and spa heater was broken. The pool & spa for our kids was the main reason for the stay. No working exhaust fan in the bathroom. The black shower curtain made it too dark in the shower.

The staff are lovely but the room was average at best. Decor is cute, everything worked but the smell of damp and mould (I’m guessing from the tattered carpet) was almost unbearable. We stayed 3 nights and while I was sad to leave Bargara, I was actually glad not to have to sleep in the room.

One of the bedroom wasn't air-conditioned and had no fan. Furniture was broken and sofas had dirty marks. Apartment smelled awful.

We got the top level ocean view 2 bedroom apartment. The view was awesome. Overall the stay was very comfortable although the property is aging. Close walk to beach. There were only a few things that we noted. The main bedroom was spacious. The bed comfortable. The TV was small that we couldn’t read the guide from the bed and when we did watch, it had to be in the dark with all the curtains drawn. The ensuite was also spacious and amazing, except there must have been a glass screen originally(?) as we only had a shower curtain which did nothing. Every time we had a shower, water would end up all over the floor. We had to use our towels to mops up the water as there was no mop. Ended up using that bathroom in emergencies, which was a shame as it also had the better showed head. The main bathroom although small and squishy, was functional. The second bedroom did not have air con, only a fan. Which is fine, but the speed on the fan did not change much. The apartment looked clean, but there was an overwhelming smell of cheap room deodoriser on arrival. My husband found stains in the toilet although it had the sash of ‘hygienically cleaned’ placed over toilet seat. The oven had sticky residue on on of the al-foil liners on tray. The pool is small, and also aging. Ended up having to leave early after both my boys got sick after their swim.

Good units in a great position, would stay again.
Great location, opposite the beach, near some good beachside playgrounds, easy to walk to a few great restaurants, large unit (we were in a 3 bedroom), friendly check-in and short drive to the Turtle Experience Centre. We would have liked air con in all the rooms rather than just the master and lounge. The twin beds that join together in the second room was less comfortable. The putt putt was a bit ordinary but still would be fun for really little ones. Happy that the spa was heated in the pool.

Great location - only 5mins walk from the center of Bargara. Our room was very quiet and the beds comfortable. The room was equipped with a kitchenette and laundry equipment (washer plus dryer) which would have made longer stay very easy and convenient - unfortunately we only stayed 4 nights and did not use these amenities. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Position of property is great Smell after cleaning is interesting, bed uncomfortable so we left a day early. Unit was small compared to others we have stayed in at bargara. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Facing directly to the sea and within walking distance to nice beaches. Quiet area and very convenient. Close to Mon Repos Turtle Centre. Clean and fully equipped with all the amenities. Highly recommended for all visitors.
