This property is cute and clean, and a good location. The bathroom was very clean and stocked, including a hairdryer. The beds are a medium firm and I slept good. The only quirk with the room is that the air heating and cooling unit was kind of loud, sounded like something was rattling around in there. There is a bar/restaurant in the same location which is nice. The seafood chowder is amazing!!! The only problem with Waterfront Mary's (the bar) was that bartenders were not very friendly, and the mixed drinks are pricy. Domestic beers are priced fairly. Overall, I will go back there again. They also have on onsite Fish Boil and access to the lake.

The resort is placed in an awesome position. Rooms were okay and clean. We mostly spent time outside. Also the restaurant serves amazing food. Overall excellent for the price.

Great being close to waterfront Mary’s for food and cocktails. Starting point to walk to Potawatomi trails and along water front. Loves being on the bay. Bathroom upgraded. Rooms have all that you need but the real highlight is the location. We stayed during off season but I could see how fun it would be to be here in the summer - kayaks and SUP available and jet ski rentals for easy access to water fun. Small Sandy beach. Lawn games. Will definitely stay here again.

Clean and cozy
This was the second time we've stayed here. Check in was fast and easy, the gal at the front desk was very friendly. We were given a room with a patio door to make it easier to let the dog out to do its business. The heater fan did have a small tick in it every so often but after a full day of hiking we were too tired to notice it.

Great beautiful place on the water had a great mother daughter weekend with my mother and of course being there in the fall. It was just so beautiful you couldn’t resist taking photos.

The hotel was very nice and the area was great! Right on the water with a little beach and walking distance to a state park. The bar was fun and the food was really good!

There are lots of water activities and yard games. Pet friendly and great for families. Live music most nights. Fun, friendly place to stay

The property is older, and it does appear that they work to keep it up. Bathroom was great and beds were soft. Had some odd odor to the building though and the room as well. Proximity to the state park is amazing and the waterside is pleasant. I didn't think the cost was appropriate for this place, and the kids at the desk were a bit obnoxious when we checked in.

The room was rather run down. Lamp next bed was missing knob to turn it on! Along window sill and slat blinds were good particles, dirt and dust in all crevices:( Sofa was stained as was bedspread. Questionable cleanliness overall in this room. Unimpressed

It was very nice and we wish we’d had more time there to play on all their toys! Looked like fun and the location on the water was great! Clean and comfortable. We liked it.

The stay was enjoyable,.. although the weather prevented us from using the awesome amenities of free kayaks! The office is tucked away in back,.. could use a clear sign directing new-comers to it's location. We will be back for sure.

nice beach. Did not have any view from room. Motel room smelled terrible - like a dead mouse in the air conditioner unit. We were unable to use the air due to the smell. Asked for a new room and was declined even though they admited that the room smelled. Did provide Febreeze and a de-humidifer.

Happy to stay here again!
Great trip! Would definitely stay here again if in the area. From the laundry room to the pet friendly campus, it was a great stay. If I had anything to gripe about, it was that the bar staff could have been more attentive. They spent more time chatting with each other than paying attention to the bar. I often waited more than 5 minutes for a fresh drink & usually had to flag them down, though there was ample staff.

Loved our stay....room was very clean...enjoyed sitting by the water, view was amazing. Not impressed with the food at Mary's. Ate the first day we arrived & my husbands pork patty sandwich wasn't cooked all the way. Thought we'd give it a second chance with just some appetizers another day, but still disappointed.

The staff was excellent! However the property it’s self need some upgraded work. The rooms smelled and I think it’s overpriced for not having a great beachfront. Families with too many dogs. Not pleasant when not everyone liked dogs.

Overall it was nice. Room had a couch that was about 1/2 inch off the ground - so uncomfortable - and the toilet was very short (as in close to the ground) so if you are getting to the stage in life where your knees are a problem, you will most likely not be happy with this. That and a lack of outdoor seating near the hotel rooms is a bummer. I do like the fact that you can bring your pets with you and enjoyed the restaurant by having supper outside and watching the lake.

Property sits right next to state park so it is pretty and there are areas to walk. Room was ok- no note to run the dehumidifier once we figured that out the smell and swampy feeling was better. You compete with restaurant patrons for parking which in the evening was a challenge. The beach was essentially shared with the restaurant so was crowded. Was very clean with a nice sized room.
