My friend and I stayed at the Jade Palace Hotel for 5 nights, and we were pretty pleased with the hotel. It's more of a hostel than a hotel, but the rooms have public bathrooms and shower stalls, so it was convenient to wash and shower. Most of the staff is very kind and understands english, but one female member of the staff was a very rude and had an inappropriate attitude when we asked her to exchange the electric water kettle in our room because it was out of order. Also, on hotels.com it says they have free bottled water, but they don't, and when we asked the same female staff about it, she snapped at us. Other than that member of the staff, the rooms were adequate, especially compared to the price of the stay. As for the location, some people say it's hard to find, since the map on this website doesn't show the location of the hotel correctly. But if you look for the Supreme People's Procuratorate(最高人民檢察院), the hotel is down the alley to the right of the Procuratorate. The hotel is close to tiananmen, forbidden city, and wangfujing, which are all huge tourist attractions.
