Comfortable stay in a friendly and welcoming hotel
Friendly and welcoming pub. A stop off on the Ridgeway. Great food and real ale with evening meal and a good breakfast in the morning- porridge and full English. We also ordered a reasonably priced packed lunch- good sandwiches, boiled egg, juice, orange and fruit and nuts to nibble on the way. Room was comfortable although shower perhaps a little tight ( but nice also to have option of bath)

Would stay there again!
Welcoming hosts. Warm, comfy room and bed. Spotless. Very happy with evening menu choices and some real ale in the bar. Would stay there again.

Fantastic welcome and a great setup - ideal place to crash enroute, complete with a facility to wash and service my bike and secure place to store it overnight

Very nice stay.
Room was large, bright and very pleasant. It took some fiddling but eventually I was able to get my shaver to work with the electrical socket in the bathroom. Hotel is at the north end of the village. People who work there are friendly and have helpful information such as taxi services in the area. Dinner was good but my preference would have been that they spent more money on the quantity of the food and less on the presentation (which was more like a posh restaurant than a pub).

The hosts of this place are amaaazing. We had the most fun and home feeling stay with them in our one night at the Inn with the well. We will be definitely coming back.

Business trip so very convenient for Marlborough. WiFi was excellent to start but then failed for unknown reason. Parking was tight. Room was adequate but comfortable with tea coffee and very nice home made biscuits. Nice touch. Ate in the bar. Usually keep Away from pub curry’s but this one was excellent. Value for money was very good. Will stay here again

Tight timings.
Very tired on arrival so couldn't eat there as planned as dinner ends at 8pm!.pub also closes at 10pm.check out by 10am as well so felt a bit rushed!!. Breakfast was very good.

Wasn't here very long, arrived late and left early, too early to try breakfast, but judging by the evening meal I had, it would have probably been nice. They were kind enough to break the rules a little as we arrived a bit after dinner curfew, which was appreciated after a long day.

Ok but wouldn’t go back
Not a very friendly welcome or service, going through the motions. Noisy due to main road behind the rooms , they do provide ear plugs but maybe better to point this out in the description. Very hard mattress. Dead spiders on blinds and a bit tired cleaning Instant coffee in a greecy cafetière was a first.

Review based on one overnight stay
Very welcoming and efficient throughout my stay. Would recommend it to others but advise to book direct with owners - fees taken by Expedia and other such organisations too high

Great base for the Ridgeway
We chose the Inn for a base whilst we walked from the start of the Ridgeway for a couple of days. The location was ideal and only a short walk from the main path. The food was excellent with a good selection in the evening and our hosts more than happy to change the cooked breakfasts according to our tastes. Rooms were very comfortable as was the lounge bar! Only slight downside was that the car park is a bit tight and so possible to get blocked in. However, there are places around the village where you can park instead.

Definitely recommend.
Very good place to stay. Comfortable, clean with friendly staff. It is next to an A road, so it may be a bit noisy if you sleep with the window open.

In our opinion the Inn with the Well was a delightful place and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating to both humans and our 4 legged companion. The bed was very comfortable. Good dog walking nearby The purpose of our stay was not recreation so unable to comment on local area

Nearly all good
Stayed one night, have stayed there before. Plus points: we had a clean, spacious room with all facilities, good wifi, hairdryer, spacious bathroom, good shower. Staff were efficient and courteous, prompt check-in and check-out. Breakfast was very good, again staff were very attentive, enjoyed the full English breakfast. The only downside to this Inn is the potential for noise. Road noise did not bother me but we were in the Annex and could hear people above walking about. if you are a light sleeper ear plugs would be a wise move. But otherwise a very good Inn, and would stay there again.

Warm, welcoming inn with great food and service
Arrived fresh (or rather exhausted) off the Ridgeway and was met with a warm welcome, despite my muddy boots and sweaty clothing. Food was great, friendly owners and a spotlessly clean room.

Good location and easy to find
Pleasant stay in this small pub that has accommodation in a linked block. Good sized room, very clean nice fluffy towels, TV, wifi, tea and coffee making facilities, my only gripe would be the shower over the bath which wasn't very powerful and had no shower curtain or screen so floor got very wet. Decent real ale, pleasant locals, food was decent and owners very pleasant and accommodating. Would be happy to stay there again if in the area.

A journey full of discovery
We are surrounded by warm local residents from the neighbourhood. They lead us to discover the wonderful site - Avebury. The henge, the landscape and the scenary are memorable. You don't spend too much but need to have a car to explore. The 96 feet ancient well in the house is amazing!
