Potentially an excellent place, but disappointing.
We have been there a couple of times, because of the location, the beach, and the ocean view. Being under new management, the hotel has been just renovated. The rooms on the second floor have now spacious terraces overlooking the ocean. The beach has now more "palapas" and chezlongs. So, the place has a lot of potential, but..... it's still work in progress. Many features in the hotel description are just missing. In particular, there is no WiFi, except in a 30 foot radius from the receptionist, no TV whatsoever. The complimentary "American breakfast" is a joke: it consist of coffee, fruit, juice, and two slices of toast with little butter and jam, if you wait enough at your table expecting the real breakfast to come. The restaurant, which could be very attractive with its beach front terrace, is practically defunct, except for a cocktail or beer.

J'aurais apprécié être contacter pour M, aviser que cet hôtel n,était pas du tout prêt à recevoir notre groupe de 6 soit 3 chambres. Plage petite, odeur de, essence car plusieurs petits bateaux

Hôtel en rénovation
Premièrement, cet hôtel n'était pas prête à recevoir des clients car en rénovation. L'accueil très ordinaire . Semblait étonné de notre arrivée. Les chambres non complètement terminées . Poussière et ruban de calfeutrage encore présent dans la garde-robe. Aucune commodité : téléviseur non branché, coffre de sûreté inutilisable , pas d'eau chaude et coupure d'eau dès notre premier soir à l'hôtel. La porte de chambre ne barrait plus. Pas de meuble de rangement avec tiroirs.aucun crochet .... La cuisine non fonctionnelle. Comme nous avions le déjeuner américain inclus dans notre forfait, le premier matin soit le dimanche nous avons eu notre déjeuner sans trop de problèmes ( les achats alimentaires se faisaient au fur et à mesure) mais le lendemain lundi nous aurions dû payer selon eux.. à partir de lundi le service a été très médiocre. Ils nous ignoraient et nous accommodaient pour le moment afin de nous voir quitter le plus tôt possible. Selon les dires de la responsable de l'hôtel, ils n'avaient pas été payé pour notre séjour chez eux..... Le site était très beau face à la mer avec grand balcon. La plage très petite et envahie de bateaux donc avec odeur de gazoline toute la journée. La piscine fermée à notre arrivée. Comme vous pouvez constater ce fut un cauchemar pour notre début de vacances au soleil.

this was to be cancelled and the 29th as well! We arrived at almost 11:30 at night and the hotel was under construction with NO electricity, running water OR BEDS!!! AND, we were never notified. We continued to drive around this little stretch of Puerto Morelos way past midnight looking for a place to stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hôtel à éviter
Nous avions réservé dans cet hôtel pour une nuit. La chambre est spacieuse, propre mais ils nous ont pas donné de télécommande donc clim réglée sur 20°C sans possibilité de l'arrêter alors qu'à l'extérieur il faisait 35°C. Les serviettes de bains n'étaient pas dans la chambre, nous avons dû leur réclamer 2 fois avant de les obtenir. En ce qui concerne le petit déjeuner : temps d'attente de 45min, simple assiette avec 6 morceaux de fruits à l'intérieur et seulement 5 toasts pour 3 personnes. Le personnel est très désagréable, pas souriant et impoli : le serveur a demandé à une cliente installée sur une table donnant sur la mer de changer de place pour qu'une famille de mexicains s'y mettent à la place alors qu'il y avait 3 autres tables de libre. La cliente a refusé et le serveur l'a dévisagé et était très énervé contre elle. Le client n'est-il pas censé être roi et se placer où il le souhaite ? En conclusion : vraiment déçue de la prestation de cet hôtel de part son manque de professionnalisme auprès du client. Nous ne le recommandons pas.

Las condiciones del hotel en relación a la limpieza es aceptable. En relación a los servicios No cumple con lo que se ofrece en Internet. Habla que cuenta con Wi-Fi y no lo tiene en el hotel solo lo tiene en la recepción y alberca con señal débil. En mi caso me dieron el control de la televisión y vídeo y la habitación no tenia Televisión porque se la llevaron a reparar pero nunca llego. En la pagina de Internet dice incluye desayuno pero no dice que tipo y en el restaurante solo te dan un poco de fruta y café. En mi opinión es cuestión de aclarar en la pagina de Internet lo que se ofrece y respetar eso. En relación de precio no es tan económico en comparación a otros de su clase en esa región.

No wifi in room as advertised, No water the day we arrived so couldn't use the toilet, when the water did come on there was no hot water, TV not working, Pool half full and unusable, Power went out through the night so no AC, Have to pass the pool deck chairs over the wall down to the beach as there was only three old ones on the sand and being used, in need of major renovations.

Nice little hotel
This is a mid level hotel that is decent, clean and friendly. It is on the ocean and has a small pool. the free breakfast is nothing to write home about, but is filling. A solo person does not get get as much treatment as couples or families, however.

Not quite what we expected
We read reviews before we came and were prepared for a 3 star hotel. We read that the hotel was pretty run down but the staff was amazing.. Not so much....the staff was very rude and unfriendly. Especially the man at the front desk. It is a wonderful location...that is it. We had no hot water for the whole time we were there. They would not give us any extra blankets or pillows...

Fabulous location
Air conditioner was Broken, no hot water, hard beds, no dresser for clothes, only one hard chair, shampoo promised but never materialized, breakfast included,but waiters weren't sure what that included, waiters didn't know English and every breakfast was a mystery in what you ordered and what you got, Scuba diving school right beside our room and started activities at 7:30 in the morning.. This should give you an idea of this hotel. To give them 31/2 stars is a joke, it would be pushing it to rate a 2. The only thing going for it is its location.

We felt welcomed!
Great location. Everyone was very nice to us. There was some other guess who were making noise to 3 or 4 in the morning but stopped when we told management.

C'è stato un errore di trattamento rispetto al pacchetto acquistato. Il tutto solo per aver chiesto un King Size bed, ci hanno assegnato una camera normale ma anche il pacchetto colazione, l'utilizzo degli asciugamani in spiaggia hanno inaspettatamente subito un down grading. Risolto questo problema comunicativo tra reception e addetti albergo, lamento un'unica cosa davvero: il disservizio in sala colazione e la poca educazione da parte del cameriere che neppure ci ha salutati. Ottima la posizione dell'albergo.

Noisy!!! Complacent staff, terrible food - do not get the breakfast included...ask for a fridge instead. The beds are made of stone, but the rooms are clean. The pool side and patio is nice....could be cleaner, and nice sandy beach front is interesting with all the local boats. The smell of sewer(not sure where it comes from), is overwhelming. Promised and paid for a king bed...but none were available upon arrival and no compensation given. Poor value and will not be returning.

Incredible Value
This was our second time staying at Hacienda Morelos, and it was once again a spectacular time. Without question, the best part of this hotel is the view. The ocean view is amazing, and I've never seen anything even close to as beautiful for such a low price. The rooms are all white, so it would be easy to see if anything was unclean. This was not the case, as everything was spotless. The amenities are basic, which is fine because we weren't spending much time inside anyways. The staff is hit or miss. Most of the employees were incredibly pleasant and went above and beyond, but there was one in particular who made it very obvious that he didn't care to offer any extra help. He wasn't rude or anything, but he seemed to do only what was required. The internet is great in the lobby, but is very spotty elsewhere. Again, this isn't a big deal, because we spent almost the entire stay on the beach or exploring the incredibly charming town of Puerto Morelos. I love this hotel, and I will be returning soon!

Good view, run down room
The first room's door to the balcony would not close because the frame was rotted. Changed our room but the new room had mold on the walls and the window facing the ocean was cracked in half. The restaurant closes at 3 pm which is not very convenient to guests arriving after 3 pm. Bottom line is that we were okay to stay one night, but very disappointed.

For the conveniences offered, the hotel was way overpriced. The beach location is good, however the beach was grossly polluted by kelp and litter.

False advertising
False advertisement. The hotel pictures look better than the hotel. It is a bit run down and we were not happy with the service. We overpaid to stay there. I would not pay more than $US 60/night. There was no wifi in the rooms as advertised. The shared balconies are tiny and you have no privacy. The hotel has great potential but needs some reinvesting and waitors need to learn better manners!!

Outside great, inside not so much.
this hotel has an amazing view. It is right at the water. Lounge chairs are provided. There is a bit of beach if you want, or a patio. However, the inside of the rooms fall short. There is no fridge, the wifi did not work in the room, you are only given 2 small bottles of water, there is no sitting area.

Playa: hotel cuenta con su propio acceso a la playa y estaba muy limpia. Tiene duchas para limpiarse la arena. Piscina: Bien para el tamaño, se veía limpia siempre Restaurante: Desayuno incluido que consistia de Pan Tostado, Fruta, Cafe y Jugo. Fue bastante aburrido. Tienen otras opciones (pagas) la mayoria con huevos. Optamos por comer en otra parte. WiFi: Intermitente. Solo disponible en el área de Planta Baja. La señal no llegaba a las habitaciones, a pesar de que indican que ofrecen Wifi en los cuartos. Habitaciones: Aire Acondicionado funcionaba bien. Ducha con agua caliente. Televisión por cable. El servicio de limpieza estaba bien. Puertas desgastadas por la humedad. Marcos metálicos oxidados. Luz interna muy pobre. No tienen nevera en la habitaciones. Estacionamiento: Gratis y podias ver tu carro desde el pasillo. Zona: Cerca de la Plaza y Malecon, a tres minutos caminando de las diferentes opciones de restaurantes, supermercados, cajeros y tiendas de artesanía. En carro estas a 25min de Cancún y a 35min de Playa del Carmen

This hotel is convenient to downtown but a little away from the noise. It served us well. With the boats, the beach is not really a swimming beach, but the view is lovely.

This hotel could be so great.
the hotel needs a lot of up keep maintenance, plaster repairs, paint, new bathroom fixtures, toilet seats, mattresses, TV remotes that actually work. The pool was over chlorinated and our dinner out here was just satisfactory. The stars though of our stay were the hotel waiters, Andre especially, our breakfast waiter was very attentive and friendly. This hotel, right on the beach, could be so great. I will recommend this hotel to those vacationing on a fixed budget and who can overlook all the cosmetic repairs needed. Appearance, in a hotel, is everything.

View was great. Breakfast service was wonderful.
The rooms need to be cleaner and they need to change the mattresses. They are very hard. I am very sorry to say but we were attacked by bedbugs for sure.

The town was cool . The experience of locals.. The hotel was ok .. First nite water in shower wasnt working so had tonwait till next day to shower.. They didnt have enough blow dyers.. There was ants in bathroom.. Staff were nice .. Ask for andres he took care of us!! Great guy!

Run down, overpriced
The only thing going for this hotel is that it's on the beach, but don't let that draw you in. This place is really run down. When we arrived our AC was stuck on a not-so-cold temperature (which they informed us about at check in but didn't seem to think was a big deal), our toilet was broken so we had to manually flush every time by reaching into the nasty tank, the beds/pillows were lumpy and smelled like urine, and there was loud music playing across the street until 3am. Definitely NOT a $70/night experience. We asked for a discount at check out, but received a 'meh' response.

Flooded rooms, no electricity, no water. Stay away
During our stay, there was a storm passing by Mexico. You would think that this hotel is prepared for storms such as this (they're in a tropical country afterall) but no. Our rooms got flooded, we lost power and the hotel did not have water at all! They claimed that "it was the government" who cut the power off, meanwhile our friends staying in the same area/ other hotels are perfectly fine. We understand that the weather was terrible but it was very evident that this hotel does not invest in the improvements of their property. Even during the wedding reception (done in the same hotel), the ceiling was leaking uncontrollably onto the wedding guests' table. It was an incredibly terrible experience. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!

Location, Location, Location
The location (and free breakfast option) trumps all other issues with this hotel. This is by no means a high-end hotel. If you are a seasoned traveler (and by 'seasoned' I don't mean fly around the world in first class and only stay at a resort), you won't care about a thing. The room was clean and the bathroom was okay. The folks at the hotel are friendly. We had no issues while staying except for having to move two bedrooms at check-in before finding a room without a leaky air-conditioner. I do hope the management would look into renovating the hotel before it's too late. But, you forget all of that when you have a view out your window. And the swimming pool is a HUGE bonus. Bottom line: If you've traveled extensively around the world and have seen a lot, you won't care about these problems.

Hotelli oli perunut varauksemme, vaikka olimme maksaneet 2viikon lomasta, koska myöhästyimme lennolta ja saavuimme vasta seuraavana päivänä. Jouduimme vähän aikaa tapella asiasta että emme kyllä maksa enää uudestaan mistään. Sijainti oli mahtava ja yksityinen ranta oli rauhallinen. Huone ei ollut kovi hieno vaikka se oli ''deluxe-huone''. Wifi toimi vain muutaman päivän ja sänky oli erittäin epämukava, jonka takia vaihdoimme viimeisiksi öiksi toiseen hotelliin ettei selkäkivut vaivaisi pitkää lentoa takaisin suomeen.

Soggiorno a Puerto Morelos
Conoscevo già Puerto Morelos dato ch eho mio figlio che ha un'attività a Playa del Carmen e ho scelto questo hotel perchè si trova in una invidiabile posizione sul mare. Purtroppo l'invasione di sargassi su tutta la costa mi ha impedito di fare un tuffo in mare. Quiesto è un periodo di bassa stagione per cui è stato un po un mortorio; dopo le 10 di sera non c'è anima viva e tutti i locali sono chiusi o deserti. Per chi ama la tranquillità e la meditazione è il posto ideale.
