Pros: The hotel was convenient to our early morning departure from Gatwick airport, and the staff were pleasant and helpful with our luggage and giving us extra towels. The room was clean and quiet, and the hot water was great. Cons: The room had a slight odor, possibly mold. The desk clerk gave us inaccurate airport information. Additionally, the taxi, arranged by the desk clerk the evening before, arrived 20 minutes late, at 6:20 AM instead of 6 AM. The taxi let us off at the north terminal, as instructed by the desk clerk the night before. When we got inside, we found we needed to go to the south terminal. The combination of issues, along with delays in the Gatwick Airport assistance service, meant that we lwound up getting on our plane 15 minutes before they closed the doors, instead of boarding immediately when they initially opened the plane doors. It was a good thing that we had planned for a taxi at 6 AM, four hours before our flight time. I would likely stay there again on an economy trip, although I might also spend the extra money to stay at an airport hotel chain, like Marriott. And I would definitely not depend on the staff for airport information.
