Excellent staff - really helpful and friendly. Great location. The room had just been painted, and you could see they were in the process of renovating the rooms. For the price, it was a great deal. Spacious room, and such a bonus that there was on site parking.

For the entire stay, our shower was broken. We were given the opportunity to use showers in other rooms, but the fact is that it was broken before we got there, so this was entirely avoidable. The other showers we used were crap. The entire place seemed to be falling apart. It was decently clean, but clearly they're only maintaining it as absolutely necessary. The building is very old, and so is seemingly everything in it. The one staff member we saw was helpful enough, but didn't speak great English. I would warn away anyone thinking of staying there.

Parcheggio a buon prezzo in strada davanti.

The room was reasonably clean, fan was provided due to the heatwave. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I had help to bring my suitcases to the bedroom. The buses were available if you wanted to explore and the beach was only about 10 minutes walk away. Plenty of restaurants and cafes and other places to eat.

Don’t come here expecting the Ritz - but we were very grateful to find a room that could accommodate 4 during Brighton Pride at the last minute. Yes carpets are threadbare, yes the furniture is missing handles. But (except during pride weekend) this would be a cost effective and well located spot to sleep in. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was run down but clean. It entirely suited our purposes - imagine a much friendlier and slightly shabbier Fawlty Towers.

Really pleasant little hotel. Massive room. Was clean & had lots of extras including toiletries. Yes it's dated, & a bit ragged around the edges, but charming none the less & good value. Reception staff were excellent. Really friendly, helpful & full of smiles. Good location for Hove shops & beach - Regular buses go from stops just a few minutes walk way to Brighton town/station/marina etc.

The room was very clean but there was no teaspoon for drinks and the shower only did v hot water. 1 plug socket didn't work. Saying that the staff were very friendly and helpful. They let us shower after doing park run and helped us to find parking when we got there. Book your parking in advance £15 for 24 the hours. Close to the sea a 25 min walk to Brighton or buses are a short walk away.

My stay at the Albany in Brighton was okay overall, mainly thanks to the very helpful staff. However, the hotel itself is in noticeably poor condition and really needs a full refurbishment. The rooms and common areas feel tired and worn, and the overall standard doesn’t match what you’d expect today. With some investment and updates, it could be a much better experience.
