"I loved this hotel. Very, very clean and quiet. Great breakfast. Very close to the train station."
McDreams Hotel Essen-City
10/10 Excellent
"Great value for the money and free secure parking!! I’ve stayed in much more expensive and not as good. Andrè was very helpful at the desk as it was open when I arrived. The WhatsApp message which the hotel sends gives you access to your room key which is stored on your mobile. Room was clean and functional. No air con but this wasn’t a problem in September."
Mercure Hotel Bochum City
8/10 Good
"The room was a good size and clean. Wi-Fi worked well. The bath towels were really old and one was even tattered. Our TV didn’t work and when we called the desk for help, he informed us there was nothing he could do and they would fix it in the morning - well, we left in the morning - thank you anyway. Breakfast was good - it was pretty picked over and sparse when we arrived at 8:20 am. The coffee machine was Not working and when it finally did work, the quality of the coffee was very poor. As we were leaving the breakfast room, they replenished the hot items. Best thing about this hotel was its proximity to the train station."
Premier Inn Essen City Limbecker Platz

IntercityHotel Duisburg
10/10 Excellent
"The room was very clean and the location right next to the train station is a big advantage. However, I found the price for the breakfast to be a bit expensive."
