"Very quaint property with attentive manager. AC worked wonderfully. Property is right on the water with a very small sandy beach. Barefoot bar is literally on the other side of the fence. Bring ear plugs if music bothers you at night; they close at midnight so not too late. My sister and I stayed here on the weekends during a two week stay in Belize. We were in three different rooms (3 weekends) and liked different things about each of them. All of the rooms had AC, microwave, mini fridge, and hammock with water view. Room 8 had an amazing view of the water and plenty of table space. Room 6 had a large bed. Room 3 had some counter and cooking space. Shelly, the manager, allowed us to leave luggage behind while we stayed on an island during the week. She was very helpful and was delightfully fun to talk to. This was a great place to cool down and get some rest after a day of sightseeing."

"Captain Jak's took great care of my wife and me during our recent stay. The staff were incredibly kind, our room was tidy and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff did a great job. We were pleasantly surprised at the amenities we had available to us - we found out we had free access to bicycles during our stay, and we were able to book a private shuttle from Placencia to Belize City at the last minute for a very competitive price. The room had excellent air conditioning, and the location was great for exploring downtown Placencia and visiting the beach. We were also able to get our clothes washed for a fee, and the staff took care of everything, even folding our laundry adn returning it to our room while we were out. Our only issues during our stay were that the Wi-Fi was a bit slow and that it was unfortunate that the room did not have any pantry staples, like salt/pepper, cooking oil, sugar, etc. We weren't able to take full advantage of the kitchen without these, unfortunately."

"The place was perfect in every way. My aunt and I felt like we were at home thanks to the personal touches. We were given complimentary rum punch, breakfast on the rooftop each morning, a clean, beautiful room with a veranda. They paid for us to swim at a beach resort since we couldn’t swim in the sea. The staff warm and inviting. Great places to eat were within walking distance. This gem was a 10.!"

"Great stay! Breakfast and lunch were awesome, dinner non meat options at the resort could’ve been improved in my opinion, but overall we enjoyed the food 7-8/10. The spa quality was outstanding despite our therapist not being accustomed to homosexual couples experiences, their hand strength and overall professionalism made up for the awkward conversation beforehand. Loved the gym! Amenities and staff were also great. We would stay again."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an excellent stay at MeMe's Place! The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and everything we needed in Placencia. The accommodation had everything necessary for a relaxing stay, including good Wi-Fi and a welcoming atmosphere. Communication with the host was helpful, and we appreciated having a comfortable place to return to after our daily activities. We travelled as a family, and everyone enjoyed the stay. The property was well-maintained and made our Belize vacation even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend MeMe's Place to anyone visiting Placencia! Thank you for helping make our trip such a wonderful experience."
