“I had eaten at this hotel a couple of times and having enjoyed the food and liked the traditional decor asked at reception if a lift went to all the bedrooms as I have mobility issues and don’t cope well with stairs and was told “ yes we have a lift to all floors”. We therefore booked a room at this hotel in our next visit to the area. Upon checking we were told our room was on the 4th floor and that the lift only went to the 3rd floor then it was 4 steps to the 4th floor room so we went up...

“Fantastic location with wonderful views. The restaurant is exceptionally good but pricey, you get what you pay for. Excellent staff, especially the waitress, a student in hospitality management, very welcoming, helpful and pleasant. Excellent breakfast, everything homemade or local and of superb quality. Comfortable room, good balcony, very clean. A few little niggles in the room, the light over the shower didn't work, the shampoo dispenser in the shower had not been topped up, the headboard...
