"We were initially disappointed to hear a week before arrival that the honeymoon suite was unavailable due to repairs, but what followed was nothing short of wonderful. Our replacement room was beautiful, and the moment we saw those dramatic, serene mountain views, any lingering "what ifs" melted away. It’s the perfect escape to slow down and breathe. Even the winding, adventure-filled drive there makes the arrival feel earned. The food was another major highlight with fresh, healthy breakfasts and deeply satisfying dinners. The sauna was incredibly relaxing. But what truly made our week were the people. The staff immediately made us feel genuinely welcomed. Theano went above and beyond to ensure we felt special and well looked after (more than making up for the suite situation). Joanna brought a warm, genuine smile to every dining experience. Last but not least, Maria was wonderfully sparkly, laugh-out-loud funny with a lovely touch of sassiness and gave the best local recommendations. The Monastery Estate Mountain Retreat quietly exceeded our expectations in the way only soulful places can. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel itself is beautiful, with great facilities and lovely views of both the mountains and the sea. The shared pool access rooms are definitely worth it and really enhanced the experience. The pool bar was also a highlight, and Elissa in particular provided fabulous service throughout our stay. That said, there were a few areas where the experience fell short of what you would expect from a true 5* hotel. The vegetarian food options were quite limited and unfortunately was not very good overall. We also found the reception staff fairly unhelpful, starting from check-in where we were simply handed an information sheet rather than being properly welcomed or briefed on the hotel. To make matters worse, some of the information provided was inaccurate — for example, the à la carte restaurant was advertised as open for dinner bookings, but we later discovered it only operated two nights a week, meaning we were unable to get a reservation during our stay. Drinks were another disappointment. While using non-premium brands isn’t necessarily an issue, the menu was misleading in places — for example, the Aperol Spritz was advertised as containing Aperol, but was instead made with a much cheaper alternative, which noticeably affected the quality. Overall, I’d say the hotel has the facilities and appearance of a 5* resort, but the service and attention to detail felt much closer to a 4* experience."

"Our stay at Myrion Suites in Crete, Greece was absolutely unforgettable. The location is incredible — right on the beach with stunning views and such a peaceful atmosphere. From the very beginning, the staff went above and beyond to make our experience special. Even before we arrived, they were extremely helpful and provided us with useful information that made planning our trip so much easier. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and personally escorted to our room, where we found champagne and a beautiful anniversary cake waiting for us. I had emailed them beforehand mentioning our anniversary, and it was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture that truly made us feel welcomed and celebrated. The daily breakfast was also fantastic, offering a great menu with plenty of delicious options each morning. The spa area was another highlight of our stay — such a peaceful and relaxing space to unwind. We especially enjoyed using the indoor pool and sauna. Since we visited in May, the outdoor pool was still a bit chilly, but the indoor pool more than made up for it with its serene atmosphere and relaxing setting. Every detail of our stay reflected the care and hospitality of the team at Myrion Suites. This resort exceeded all expectations, and I would come back time and time again if I could. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Crete!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Falasarna Bay. The rooms looked as advertised, very comfortable, and practical for beach goers. The hotel itself is only a 1-2 minute walk to Small/Baby beach and not too far from Big Beach. Our rooms had balcony's with an amazing view of the beach, which we spent quite a lot of time on when the weather was too cold to go in the water (note, we went before the season began, so some amnetites were not on offer to us like the convenience store or hotel restaurant). The staff were lovely, the beds super comfy, the rooms very spacious and a great shower! We went to a lovely restaurant that was just a 5 minute walk away called Galasia Thea (would recommend!). There was a small kitchenette and a washing line to dry our beach clothes on."

"Staff were all lovely, so helpful and were the highlight of the stay. Due to lack of staff being on roster we weren’t able to book the spa over the weekend. Our room was quite worn and in the bath room quite grubby. Just felt a like the place was a little run down. "
