Front staff was grumpy but helpful to allow early check-in. However, in my first floor room, I found the window broken in numerous places with clear tape over breakage. Windows were screwed shut. Front desk not staffed by this time . They leave a number for you to call. I asked for a room change. Staff rudely asked why. She said all hotel windows were screwed/bolted shut and they were working on replacing the window.This leaves no fire egress. Is this up to code? She did not change my room. Hotel felt a bit creepy. I never saw a person at the front desk again during my stay. Room was ok clean. Bed linens scratchy and towels were thin. I will not stay there again.

I had a business trip that required an overnight stay. I didn't want to pay much, but wanted a place that cared about its guests. After looking at the pictures and the reviews, it was a no-brainer. It was perfect for what I needed. The only downfall they do not offer any breakfast in the morning. However, there is coffee 24/7 available. Should my travels bring me back to Mooresville, I will be staying at here!

Good place to stay

Good place to stay--friendly owner, clean room, comfortable beds. There are a number of remodeling projects underway, but none of the work caused any concerns with noise of mess. No breakfast available, but a great pancake house within easy waling distance.
