There were some quaint cafes & shops but not an abundance of things to do. Inverness Castle was being renovated. Not much public transport, so you really need a car to explore Loch Ness and attractions that are outside the city center.

Inverness is a lovely compact city. Plenty to see and do for a couple of days, even if you are on foot. The Eden Court theatre is well worth a visit. Lovely walks along the river and lots of good bars and restaurants.

We absolutely loved Inverness! It was a very walkable town with plenty of things to do. Awesome shopping, restaurants, pubs, and live music. We are looking forward to returning again one day!

The Loch Ness Centre/tour was so much fun and worth visiting. Downtown Inverness is a walkable town, with pubs/bars. It seems though the town closes down early evening.

The walk along the river Ness and across Ness Islands to the botanical gardens is lovely and peaceful, you may even see an otter on the islands.

"This hotel is right near the train station and taxi stands. Also near McGregor’s for traditional music and great F&C. Also get a proper scone and proper tea and cafe across the street."
"The hotel is a fantastic place to stop when working in Inverness.
My two very slight criticisms are that the climate control in the rooms is super bright and being light sensitive, i found it disrupted my sleep.
For the size of the hotel and the dact they have an on site Spa, the gym could be a bit better equipped.
Other than that, the hotel, food and drink were excellent. "
"The hotel itself was great. We had thought there was a restaurant available for dinner but apparently there was not which was kind of a bummer after driving from Inverness and stopping at Balmoral Castle we didn't really want to go anywhere for dinner. The rooms were really big which was really nice. We stayed a lot of places so I can't really remember the bed comfort so I don't want to mislead anyone on that but they were by far the largest bed that we had and the pillows were comfortable. We couldn't find the area for breakfast although we didn't look all that hard since we didn't pay to have it included with our stay. It's not super close to the city center so it's quiet and it's a bit of a walk to get to City Center. But if you're looking for quiet this is the place. All in all it was a good stay and we'd probably go back."
