Unfortunately, our experience at Tropical Suites in Colón Island, Bocas del Toro, was not a good one. From the moment we arrived, we noticed that the staff was not particularly friendly or helpful, which immediately affected our first impression.

I need to mention that entry with a vehicle can be be difficult because the gate can be opened only from the reception and if no one is available, there is just no way to open it. And it is a longish walk from the gate to the hotel, which we had to do under pouring rain to get to our taxi outside. Other than that, the stay was amazing and even better than expected for the price. Honestly...
“We stayed for four nights in the jungle lodge with ocean view. The lodge and view were excellent. The lodge is rustic but comfortable, with excellent air conditioning, clean bedrooms and bathroom. We got a kick out of the outdoor showers! The staff were helpful and attentive, however, the primary way of communicating is via WhatsApp and the responsiveness and clarity could use improvement.
