B&B Johannesburg

On arrival it was difficult to gain entry. House was cold but clean and somewhat dated. Toilet did not flush and after a long drive i was not able to have a comfortable shower. This accommodation is located within the grounds of a convent which i was not aware of. The sisters were lovely but i was disappointed with facilities. It was only an overnight stay to be close to the airport which was good. Some of the wiring gave cause for concern and the rooms had only been recently aired. Sadly i would not stay her again or recommend this guest house. We were offered food by our host which was helpful for our early morning departure. It is due a complete upgrade and refurbishment then it would be a good place to b&b in Sorry but this is my review

Christmas and New Year Holiday

I arrive on Christmas day with my family and we stayed until the 3rd January 2016. Brian the owner and his wife was very nice to us especially with the kids. they treated them like their own child. Brian took us to various shopping malls and also to the Johannesburg Zoo. The place is very quiet and just good for a holiday.

Everything was neat and clean. We loved the country setting and beauty of the property. The hosts did a wonderful job of taking care of us even though we needed to make a late night run to the airport. Breakfast was very tasty and our stay was very comfortable. Of course the value is undeniable as well. Overall we were blessed and were grateful to be able to stay here.

Very beautiful environment, not far off the major roads, close to the airport, great value for the money. Good for families. There's no A/C in the room, but not a problem if your stay isn't in the middle of summer.

A good transit stop

We chose gateway as we had to transit in Jo'burg for one night and wanted somewhere close enough to the airport, pleasant and safe. Gateway proved to be an excellent choice. The area is quiet which we liked but we didn't think to take food. The owner kindly drove us to the shops so we could get dinner. Thanks.

A good budget stay outside Johannesburg.

A good budget stay outside Johannesburg - on the way to the Kruger Park. We arrived quite late in the evening. (And we missed that it is common to inform if it is a late arrival). Anyway, we got a house of our own. It was clean, but a bit cold (but we slept very good anyway). Breakfast was superb! It si safe with gates, but the internet just works in the main building. We recommend this Place.

Gateway Guest House ligt buiten Johannesburg maar met de auto is de afstand prima. Het ligt rustig en biedt eenvoudige maar nette kamers en een goed ontbijt.

Very Good

The owner Brian's attention is very good, the food is very good too, the rooms are spacious and clean. The area is beautiful and Brian takes you and brings you both to the airport and to the train station (they are both near the hotel). I fully recommend this hotel to visit johannesburg.

Buena estadia cerca del aeropuerto

Comodas habitaciones y buen desayuno. El propietario,Brian,es una persona agradable con un particular sentido del humor ingles. A unos 15 min de OR Tambo pero se debe llegar con auto o taxi, no en transporte publico. Me aloje 2 noches con mi familia en mis pasos por JNB.

Tappa di sosta sul tragitto di ritorno verso l'aeroporto. Ottima sistemazione inserita in bel contesto. Accoglienza molto calorosa sia dal proprietario che dai suoi splendidi cani. Parfait avant de prendre l'avion !

Hôtel idéal pour ensuite prendre un avion de Johannesbourg. Les propriétaires de l'hôtel sont adorable, la chambre est propre et le petite déjeuné très bon et complet. Seul l'absence de wifi dans les chambres et la SDB un peu vieillotte dénote. En revanche le jardin est magnifique.
