This is a good, clean place to stay at a reasonable price. Small room but clean and quiet. We would stay again. If you want the shuttle service, set up in advance. It is expensive but efficient and safe.

Not good exp but I gt few hours of sleep
Place is very small overpriced. They should charge per hour...only stayed 6 hrs. Requested shuttle service but had to take taxi from airport. No phone in the room to contact reception...no wifi code. No bfast box. Shower was lukewarm in an icy JHB. I wont recommend staying here.

City Lodge Group Shines
For many years I used to stay at the City Lodge Group on my travels but, over the years the “convenience” and “simplicity “ of online bookings at alternative stays lured me away. I am back. Over the past two weeks I have booked exclusively at these hotels and experienced the most incredible service and attention to detail that I was used to in the past. From management to staff, from cleanliness to convenience, you have it all. Thank you for restoring my faith in Customer Service. I can recommend the Shurrle, well organised and ON TIME, the staff, efficient, friendly, helpful and passionate about their customers. The restaurant, open late when you arrive for a snack, open early for a great breakfast before your next flight. Thank you Town Lodge Airport, I will definitely be back.

Very central in JHB a good business hotel. Room was just cold but the heater worked well. Can not fault the hotel very good value for money and the staff go.out the way to help and please the guest.

Contrary to the Expedia profile, there is no airport shuttle and never has been. They eventually arrange transport and were able to add it to my bill as I don’t carry rand for stopovers. The hotel itself is adequate and food good. Dinner service was slow but there seemed to be a large group probably ordering all at once. My room neighbors decided to have a party past midnight yelling down the hall and making noise. Not exactly the hotel’s fault but maybe they can monitor a little better.

There card issue machine was not working when I checked in, so had to call someone to open each time. Breakfast was very basic, could have slight change every day such as fried tomato. There was a card in my room from the housekeeper saying she had put her heart and soul into preparing the room, yet there was no personal touch, just same old room as every other hotel. Had my name wrong so check-in was stressful as it appeared as though I did not have a booking. Not handled with empathy. Staff were disengaged. I stayed at City Lodge during Indaba and seemed like another world compared. Very disappointing and not what I expect from a stay at this Group.

The hotel has been re-vamped since I last stayed there(I have been to alternate hotels in and around this area for the last 2years, which are better value for money- I decided to checkout this hotel again). Convenient location, secure, a pity only one type of breakfast offered-R120 for a continental breakfast is not value for money. Can be noisy-other guests have little consideration for others-
