Nice place. 2 Issues: 1) Pool chemicals were very strong 2) TV used a crazy cable system with multiple directories. There were not directions on how to use. Eventually we figured out how to look at the different directories.

The property in right off the highway and sits down in a valley so traffic noise is not an issue. We did not use the pool or gym but it was nice to have them available. The breakfast buffet was good with a selection of both hot and cold food. Our suite was sufficient for our stay. It was great to have a separate bedroom.

Plenty of dinning options, close to areas we needed to be, comfortable rooms, although unable to control temp of rooms due to main boiler, had microwave and fridge, but TV seemed old/outdated, needed to look at a paper list for channels,...? Otherwise, staff was good, somewhat friendly,...overall, 7 out of 10 rating from me, and I consider anything over 6 good enough for a return stay, if in Kansas City again

Room was cold and heat did not work. Shower was cold, no hot water. Internet was too slow and would not load or stream. Front desk attendee was unresponsive. Disappointing stay! Not sure we will return.

As a family of four we stayed 5 nights. I called ahead to verify the pool and hot tub were working as this is an important part of vacation for our family. The pool was so cold and when I complained we were told that was normal and heated. Not even the children staying there used the pool they were all in the hot tub. We bought a thermometer and checked and it was only 48 degrees I was assured that was heated and normal. The first day we had no hot water in our room and I was assured a maintenance man would be coming to check it. The next morning we had hot water but half way through my shower the water turned off completely. The maintenance man was working on the system and turned off the water with no warning to guests. I sat wet and covered in soap and shampoo for more then 30 minutes before getting water turned back on. The heat worked in the room for night one after that there was no heat. Night two the room got down to 58 degrees. We were told there was nothing they could do because while they were messing with the water the day before they had switched the boiler to summer so heat was no longer available only cold would blow. The “compensation” we were offered for all of these issues was a space heater for our room. The staff felt like 11:00pm was an appropriate time to vacuum the halls outside of the rooms on the first floor. And trust I would have changed hotels had I not already paid for the entire visit and we were told they would not refund since it was

We had a very clean, quiet, comfortable stay at Hotel Lotus. Breakfast was tasty and hot. It is very convenient, right off the interstate.

We loved the breakfast buffet, the indoor pool and hot tub. The staff were very friendly and the place was very clean. Almost any place you want to go in KC is only a 10-15 minute drive away. Ikea is only half a mile away!

Only 2 things stuck out. The carpet needs replaced everywhere, it is badly stained. Also, they had no heat. Our room would never get above 68 during the day and down to 65 at night. Not terrible but, 70 would have been preferable. Other than that. Great place for the price. Staff was great.

Staff was wonderul, food was good, clean rooms, nice pool and hot tub, but a/c dudnt work, we moved rooms, no a/c, moved again. It stayed 78-77 degrees all night long. Also DANGEROUS floor level windows, no screen, a toddler could fall out with very little effort. And we were on 3rd floor, with a toddler!

The staff was very friendly, the building was well built and maintained. There were no sound issues from the hall or other rooms, it is concrete building clearly, not wood. The interior finishes were of a high quality but not very “pretty”. The elevators were old and a bit sketchy but never got stuck or failed to arrive. The weather was unseasonably warm and the hvac system was not yet converted over to air conditioning. front desk did not hesitate to apologize and give us a huge box fan which helped. A very comfortable stay for us!

I like the price of the property, checking in was fast and easy. Breakfast was a a full experience of pancakes, eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes, bisquits and gravy, variety of muffins and bagels, juices, cereals, milk and coffee. My issues was I had to recode/rescan my room card both days, not sure if the system clears the cards daily or it was a glitch. The bathrooms are small and the shower stream is weak. A safety concern is the windows open in the room with no screen or bars so my grand could have fell out, but we kept an eye or her. The window was open because the AC either stopped working or was struggling to keep the room at 75 degrees. It was a decent stay, it served its purpose.

Great staff! Stayed in this hotel 3 times due to work wise & even when work was cut short & had to travel back to Texas the manager agreed to refund me the unused nights I had paid in advance & made the transaction with Expedia very easy. Not only that, I felt safe 😅

It is a very outdated hotel but it’s not bad to stay at. The rooms are very dim and the bed is on the Harder side if you’d like that. The breakfast was not much. All in all if you just need a place to stay for the night And don’t wanna spend a ton of money then the hotel is just fine for that
